Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Software Resources - Page 78

Automation and artificial intelligence (AI) are important, interrelated tools that help organizations streamline their processes and add intelligence to their workflows. They allow businesses to reach organizational goals by automating business processes, whereby they can increase efficiency and adapt to new business procedures.

The concept of automation is straightforward: create tools that perform tasks with minimal human involvement. And the motivation for more automation is simple: Companies can do more with less. “More” means companies can sell and deliver a higher volume of products and services than ever before. “Less” refers to the fact that, thanks to automation, fewer resources are required.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become the hottest topic in technology. Its use in the age of digital transformation spans the commercial and public sectors, fueling debate among businesses, lawmakers, and the public. I have been putting pen to paper on the subject for a few years now; having recently joined G2 to nurture the expansion of our AI categories (as well as our analytics, cloud, and security categories), I would like to sum up some of my views, while setting the scene for a more detailed exploration of the technologies, business challenges, and trends shaping AI.

Our cybernetic overlords are already among us. Luckily, they’re not all threatening...yet.

To work in human resources is to be inundated with repetitive, time-intensive and error-sensitive tasks, day in and day out. Fortunately, it’s become easier to automate these tedious tasks and allow HR personnel to focus their time and energy on expanding their strategic and creative thinking.

Digital transformation is how businesses find ways to solve traditional problems faster and more efficiently through the use of technology.
