There is probably a base rate, determined by a minimum number of employees. As long as you have more than the minimum number of employees, the fee would be reduced if the number of employees was reduced, or increased if you added more employees. I would check your agreement to see how the fee is calculated.

There is an Employees scale that determines what rate you fall into... so if your employee reduction didn't move you into another rate category, then the rate would remain the same.

There is a minimum fee as well as ranges of employees that determines the cost. Check to see if you've moved from one range to another.

There are several factors that go in to it, not just number of employees, like how often your payroll runs, what services you use, etc. And yes, like Liz said, the number of employees is a range, not just individual.

Number of employees determine your fees. It is tier system.

I believe the service fee is through a range employee count not individually.

Every account is supposed to have an account administrator with Paychex. You can discuss the fees with your account administrator. I have found them to be very helpful!

15 minutes does not seem like an inordinate amount of time for a payroll to be processed, especially if you are submitting it on a day when a multitude of employers do it. Also, I think there is a built-in lag to allow you to make corrections if you find an error after you hit the submit button.
Answered: Ellen Gordon on October 8, 2019
Ellen is correct. The lag time is in order for correction to be made, if needed. You should get an email to that affect once you complete the payroll process.

The system does take a few minutes to process your payroll. The interval allows you to make changes if needed. You will get an e-mail letting you know that your reports are ready.

HRIS stands for Human Resource Information System and is also known as Human Resource Management System (HRMS). Basically, HRIS allows you to perform many of your human resource activities and processes electronically.
