G2 Launches Embedded Integration Platforms Category
As integration platforms as a service (iPaaS) continue to rise in popularity, developers and product teams are looking for a new tool to cover areas traditional iPaaS might not. In March 2022, G2 launched its Embedded Integration Platforms category to address an emerging area in the iPaaS space.

What Is Cloud Integration? Why Join On-Prem and Cloud Apps
Hybrid environments with clouds and on-premise systems make information technology (IT) delivery challenging.Organizations with multiple lines of businesses (LOBs) use multiple disparate software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications on top of existing legacy systems. These new applications become part of the IT ecosystem with little involvement from the internal IT team.
As a result, businesses suffer from security issues and a lack of data intelligence. The way forward for these enterprises with a hybrid SaaS and on-premise applications lies in simplifying application integration. Businesses must adopt an integration platform as a service (iPaaS) software to aggregate, integrate, and manage cloud and non-cloud services reliably. iPaaS systems enable organizations to unify applications, integrate cloud data, manage application programming interfaces (APIs), automate workflows, and visualize business intelligence.

Question on: Tray.ai
What is Tray io?What is Tray io?

Hi there! Tray.io is a low-code integration and automation platform that's used to connect SaaS systems together when out of the box integration is not available or does not meet the immediate needs of a given use case. In fact, I've used it to replace entire software systems all together (e.g, we don't buy lead routing software, we built it on Tray).
As a power user, my opinion is that the platform strikes the perfect balance of power, flexibility, scalability, and speed to build that other platforms simply cannot match. They're either too difficult to use (e.g., Boomi/Mulesoft) or too constrained (e.g., Zapier/Workato) to solve sophisticated production integration needs.
One of the strongest aspects of Tray is the breadth of connectivity we have in getting data in and out - which is the core of what an iPaaS platform is meant to do. There's tons of out of the box API connectors, methods for ingesting data files (e.g., CSVs, XML), real time triggers via webhooks...the list really goes on and on.
When you couple this incredibly flexible ability to get data in and out with an extremely large set of helpers to handle whatever business logic is required for your use case, there's just about nothing this platform cannot do.
All this on top of an extremely scalable serverless architecture makes the whole thing really sing. I was a former customer who came on board w/ the company b/c all I ever want to do is build on Tray and I can promise you you'll be the same after a week or so w/ the product.

Zudy is the name of the company and Vinyl is the Software as a Service (SaaS) product they sell. It's kind of like saying Microsoft Word. Microsoft is a company and Word is their software.
