Hybrid environments with clouds and on-premise systems make information technology (IT) delivery challenging.Organizations with multiple lines of businesses (LOBs) use multiple disparate software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications on top of existing legacy systems. These new applications become part of the IT ecosystem with little involvement from the internal IT team. As a result, businesses suffer from security issues and a lack of data intelligence. The way forward for these enterprises with a hybrid SaaS and on-premise applications lies in simplifying application integration. Businesses must adopt an integration platform as a service (iPaaS) software to aggregate, integrate, and manage cloud and non-cloud services reliably. iPaaS systems enable organizations to unify applications, integrate cloud data, manage application programming interfaces (APIs), automate workflows, and visualize business intelligence.

Is your solution on-premise or Cloud?

Am I forced to choose between on-premise or cloud solutions, or can I have both?

Relational Junction works on-premise, in a private cloud such as Amazon EC2, and on Sesame Software’s cloud. Sesame’s cloud is strictly for managed backup and recovery of Salesforce data, and there is no customer access to the database. Customers have complete access to the database in on-premise or private cloud deployments, enabling data warehouse access for reporting and integration. A Relational Junction server must be on the same local network or data center as a traditional database. There is no such proximity restriction for API-based data.

Anypoint Connectors provide a simple and easy way to integrate with SaaS and Cloud APIs such as Salesforce, Facebook, AWS, Paypal, and then to use them as services within Mule. With these connectors you are then able to create orchestration that spans both SaaS and on-premises applications, using Mule.

As the name suggests, iPaaS is a development platform for building integration applications. It provides a set of services and capabilities for integrating applications in the cloud and within the enterprise. The core tenets of iPaaS are the same as PaaS, except the services on the platform are geared towards integration. In addition to some base expectations such as multi-tenancy, elasticity and reliability, iPaaS also provides intermediation of data and events, orchestration, a service container for publishing REST and SOAP services, strong security capabilities, and monitoring and developer tooling.

Yes! File a support case to enable global deployments for your account. CloudHub applications can be deployed to: US (East), US (West), Europe (Ireland or Frankfurt), and Asia-Pacific (Sydney or Tokyo). Administrators can set the default region on the Organization tab in Account Settings, but that region can be adjusted here when the application is deployed, if necessary. Note that applications deployed to Europe automatically have their domain updated to http://myapplicationdomain.eu.cloudhub.io. Similarly, applications deployed to Australia automatically have their domain updated to http://myapplicationdomain.au.cloudhub.io.
