[Are there ERM tools that a 200-person company can actually afford and use without needing an enterprise-scale contract or a dedicated GRC team?](/discussions/are-there-erm-tools-that-a-200-person-company-can-actually-afford-and-use-without-needing-an-enterprise-scale-contract-or-a-dedicated-grc-team)

I’m researching whether there are ERM tools that a 200-person company can afford and use without needing an enterprise-scale contract or a dedicated GRC team. Smaller companies may still need structured risk coverage for audits, fundraising, regulatory reviews, or customer assurance, but many ERM platforms are built for much larger teams.

In the[](https://www.g2.com/categories/enterprise-risk-management-erm)[enterprise risk management (ERM)](https://www.g2.com/categories/enterprise-risk-management-erm) category, useful tools for this use case seem to need:

- Fast setup
- Simple risk registers
- Control mapping
- Non-specialist usability
- Smaller-team pricing

Some products that seem relevant:

[**Essential ERM**](https://www.g2.com/products/essential-erm/reviews): Reviewers describe fast activation, no installation, and no need for IT support. The platform also guides users through risk identification and management without assuming deep risk expertise.

[**SimpleRisk**](https://www.g2.com/products/simplerisk/reviews): SimpleRisk positions itself as an accessible option for teams that need a functional risk register and control mapping without an enterprise contract.

[**VComply**](https://www.g2.com/products/vcomply/reviews): VComply comes up for smaller compliance and risk teams that want structured workflows without a large platform rollout.

[**Compyl**](https://www.g2.com/products/compyl/reviews): Compyl appears relevant for teams running compliance and risk programs without large GRC departments. It connects risk, compliance, and security in one platform.

[**Pirani**](https://www.g2.com/products/pirani/reviews): Pirani is often mentioned for distributed risk ownership across departments without building a large central risk function.

For teams under 300 employees, what has been the biggest mismatch between what major ERM vendors sell and what smaller teams actually need?

Yeah without a specialist you really want something that kind of runs itself. VComply fits, easy to stand up and people say support moves at your pace, which matters when you don't have in-house expertise. If it's more security compliance, Sprinto gets you certified without a compliance hire. Onspring's a touch more capable and still in reach. Honestly the "no team" part matters more than the price, I'd chase good onboarding and support over feature count.

[Which ERM systems have the most stable and reliable uptime record with proven customer support, based on user reviews?](/discussions/which-erm-systems-have-the-most-stable-and-reliable-uptime-record-with-proven-customer-support-based-on-user-reviews)

Hey G2 users — I’m researching ERM systems with the most stable and reliable uptime record, backed by proven customer support. Reliability can look like a checkbox during procurement, but it becomes much more important during audit cycles, regulatory submissions, or board reporting.

In the[](https://www.g2.com/categories/enterprise-risk-management-erm)[enterprise risk management (ERM)](https://www.g2.com/categories/enterprise-risk-management-erm) category, I’m looking for:

- Stable availability
- Fast support responses
- Helpful account teams
- Reliable compliance workflows

Products with positive support and reliability signals include:

1. [**Onspring**](https://www.g2.com/products/onspring/reviews): Reviewers describe the platform as available when needed. Support is also often described as responsive and knowledgeable.
2. [**Essential ERM**](https://www.g2.com/products/essential-erm/reviews): Essential ERM reviewers mention prompt, proactive support. The platform’s simplicity may also reduce complex support issues.
3. [**Ncontracts**](https://www.g2.com/products/ncontracts-ncontracts/reviews): Banking and financial services reviewers mention available account managers and service managers. That support can matter during exams or organizational change.
4. [**Hyperproof**](https://www.g2.com/products/hyperproof/reviews): Hyperproof reviewers mention multiple support channels and smooth help experiences.
5. [**LogicGate Risk Cloud**](https://www.g2.com/products/logicgate-risk-cloud/reviews): Reviewers describe the LogicGate team as strong from implementation through ongoing use.

For teams that have dealt with downtime or slow vendor response during a high-stakes period, did it change how you evaluated the platform?

If I'm going by the reviews, Onspring stands out, like almost every review brings up how reliable it is and how responsive support is. LogicGate's right behind on the onboarding side. Ncontracts is good too, though a couple people wanted faster replies
