We offered a two hour training face to face for all of our instructors. Many of our instructors are not local, so we also created a training course and enrolled any instructors who hadn't attended the face to face training. We were surprised to find that because Canvas is so intuitive, the most beneficial part of the training was pretty basic skills like using Speedgrader, and of course how to get help/support. We initially spent a some of the training showing instructors how to create content, but after using Canvas for 5 years we realize that the training should be focused more on student interaction, and management of the course.
