How Website Monitoring Can Help You Achieve Different Business Goals
In the past year, there has been a surge of new online businesses because of the COVID-19 pandemic. One example is Facebook launching Facebook Shops last year. According to the United Nations, the e-commerce share of global retail trade had risen from 14% in 2019 to about 17% in 2020. However, with the new growth in online presence, businesses sometimes struggle to keep their website running and up to date, often due to a surge in traffic and demand.
Many businesses have started buying website monitoring software to track their web performance, but they can do a lot more than that. This article will explain why companies should consider using the advanced features of website monitoring software.

Question on: Kissmetrics
Are there other similar products on the market?I'm curious to know how Kissmetrics might compare to other tools (which I have not used).

Hi Ben,
Kissmetrics is one of the more flexible analytics tools on the market due to being able to capture and store data by person, which allows you to see all touchpoints for the entirety of a user's journey. It has flexible funnel reports that allow you to combine or split off funnel steps. For example, you can see how many people visited a page yesterday and then went to either page 1 or page 2. And then you can click into each event/page and it'll show you the percentage of people who went that direction and ultimately what percentage converted by going in each direction. For content teams, you can see which types of content convert best down the line as well. You just need to know how to pass Kissmetrics the type of content that was viewed, which KM's support team can help you with.
Some of the other things that people really leverage KM for is being able to see the sizes of each important segment over time. With Populations, you can target pretty much any group of users imaginable. For instance, you can ask KM to pull you the users who were new to the site in the last 7 days, signed up for a free plan, used a specific feature, and then upgraded to a paid plan. And then on top of that, can have KM send out automated emails when that specific feature is used but user hasn't upgraded afterward.
Lastly, can easily see user lifetime value with KM, and KM also allows customers to query the raw data via their SQL Reports, which opens the door to creating really any report imaginable.
If you'd like to learn more, can email support@kissmetrics.io for any help as they have one of the more responsive support teams in the industry.
