I don't have a number, but having a keen interest in this category I can tell you this... the digital adoption platform (DAP) market has been experiencing significant growth in recent years. The increasing focus on digital transformation, remote work, and the need for enhanced user experiences has contributed to the rising demand for DAP solutions. According to various market reports, the DAP market is expected to grow at a considerable rate in the coming years. Factors such as the increasing adoption of software applications across industries and the need to improve user onboarding and training are driving the growth of the DAP market. According to Gartner, 70% of large companies will be using a DAP by 2025.

Whatfix is a Digital Adoption Platform. The platform has several products and features. Product Analytics is a product where a customer can see user interactions with the underlying application. Guidance Analytics is where the customer can see the user interactions with the Whatfix content. There is a widget called Self-help where you can put links to job aids, knowledge articles, and other forms of information. This saves the user time in looking for help and keeps the UX contextual and efficient.

Digital Adoption Platforms are a category of their own. Because of the unique features and capabilities, it is hard to compare them to other types of applications. Also in comparing DAP to DAP there are different areas where there is differentiation such as in Product Analytics (measure user experience in target application), Guidancy Analytics (use of Whatfix content), and Enterprise Analytics (consolidation of data at org-level). There is also the Product itself with its many user-facing features and most certainly, services. Most companies do not have DAP Strategy support, COE Programs or Value Realization teams.
