You need to indicate which product. With both the Turbo and Storage Sync products these can be scheduled or invoked manually to avoid issues with connections during the reboot process if needed. The Egnyte Connect (think DESKTOP) product alerts is controlled by your domain admin. https://helpdesk.egnyte.com/hc/en-us/articles/216694098-Desktop-App-Update-Notifications Either the users are notified about updates or they aren't. The update SERVICE on a desktop prods the user to perform the update UNLESS you have your own tools to orchestrate this (see turning off update notifications). Answered: A. I am creating the link (button) in Access. Create the link on the web portal for Egnyte. It's been a while since I had access to Egnyte but they were getting better at better integration with Window's explorer. They may have added a contextual menu if you are using their software which mounts the Egnyte share as a mapped drive go to the share find the file and right-click on the file you need to get the link to and it may generate the link at that point.
