# Auto updates

Will auto updated be provided without admin permission to avoid mass update rollouts for larger companies.

You need to indicate which product. With both the Turbo and Storage Sync products these can be scheduled or invoked manually to avoid issues with connections during the reboot process if needed.

The Egnyte Connect (think DESKTOP) product alerts is controlled by your domain admin.

Either the users are notified about updates or they aren't. The update SERVICE on a desktop prods the user to perform the update UNLESS you have your own tools to orchestrate this (see turning off update notifications).
