Cloud Data Security Software Discussions
I was searching for robust tools to secure our multi-cloud storage and navigated through G2’s Cloud Data Security category. Based on user feedback and evaluations, these four platforms stood out for guarding data across diverse cloud environments:
- Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud: – I liked how it brings backup, recovery, and threat protection into a single package. But does combining everything into one console make day-to-day security easier, or more complex?
- Druva Data Security Cloud: I noticed its strength in managing data protection without on-prem hardware, which feels ideal for multi-cloud. Was it reliable enough to give your teams confidence in recovery during critical events?
- Sprinto: It stood out to me for focusing on compliance automation across cloud environments. Did its controls actually help your business stay audit-ready while securing storage?
- Coro Cybersecurity: I found its “all-in-one” approach appealing for smaller teams that don’t want to juggle multiple security tools. Did it still hold up when your data spanned several cloud providers?
- Rubrik: I liked its focus on zero-trust recovery and secure backups that promise resilience even against ransomware. Did those protections feel practical to implement at scale across multi-cloud?
To the G2 community:
- Which platform gave you the most confidence in securing multi-cloud storage?
- Did it reduce risk in a measurable way, or introduce new complexity during adoption?
Acronis Cyber Protect gave me the most confidence, primarily because it unifies backup, anti-malware, EDR, and vulnerability assessment under a single control plane instead of forcing you to orchestrate disparate tools. When you’re protecting workloads across AWS, Azure, on-premises VMware, and SaaS applications like Microsoft 365, that consolidation eliminates the integration gaps and permission handoffs that typically become attack vectors in multi-cloud environments.
Also, if you’re working in a hybrid environment, I’m curious—did any of these tools make it easier to maintain strict data privacy standards while still managing storage across multiple clouds?
Rubrik gave us the most confidence for multi-cloud: immutable, air-gapped backups (S3 Object Lock/Azure Immutable/GCS Bucket Lock), ransomware detection, clean-room recovery, strong RBAC/SSO. Measurable risk drop -> faster restore drills + reduced blast radius. Heavier onboarding/cost, but worth it at scale.
Can you please clarify if you offer Azure cost optimization?
