5 Best Accounts Payable Software With AI Features in 2026
TL;DR: What's the best accounts payable software with AI features?
My pick is Stampli. Its Billy AI assistant learns from previous invoices to help fill fields, suggest coding and routing, and flag potential duplicates. Recent G2 reviews connect those capabilities with less manual entry and faster invoice processing, while reviewers still want Billy to automate more of the remaining workflow.
Ranked by G2 Score, here's how the five accounts payable automation tools compare:
BILL AP/AR, G2 Score 96: Best for reducing manual invoice entry with AI-assisted capture, coding, and vendor matching.
Sage Intacct, G2 Score 94: Best for finance teams that want AI-assisted AP within a broader accounting and financial management platform.
Stampli, G2 Score 86: Best overall for AI-powered AP, with Billy learning invoice coding patterns, suggesting routing, and helping catch duplicates.
Ramp, G2 Score 83: Best for small finance teams combining AP, cards, and expenses, with reviewers highlighting AI-assisted coding, categorization, and receipt matching.
Tipalti, G2 Score 76: Best for global, high-volume AP, combining automated invoice capture and coding with PO matching, supplier workflows, and international payments.
Whichever you pick, check three things before you commit: how much of the AI's output still needs a manual review pass, whether the pricing is per-user, free, or quote-based, and whether the AI features you actually need are part of the core plan or a paid add-on.

The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Accounting
Accounting is one of the most important, yet daunting and expensive departments in almost all companies.
Accountants oversee all financial operations of a business to help it run smoothly and efficiently. These include preparing and analyzing financial statements (e.g., cash flow, income statement, balance sheet), paying taxes on time, and maintaining the companies’ general ledger (GL). All these tasks require a great deal of human interaction that takes time and money; no matter how careful an employee may be, there is always the chance for human error, which could snowball and lead to devastating financial results in the future.

Question on: Ottimate
What is the fastest way to upload?
should I upload individual invoices are can plate iq distinguish multiples?
Forwarding an email is the fastest way. I would contact your vendors and ask them to directly email invoices to your personalized Plate IQ email.
Hey Martin!
So, the actual fastest way to upload is to have your vendor connected via EDI- but if that isn't possible then emailing them is your best bet. If there's one invoice you need ASAP then I would send that one separately. In general, though, if you bulk upload invoices we will separate them out easily as long as they're for the same location.
