Sisense is a modern analytics platform that turns raw data into trustworthy, interactive insights for both internal teams and external users. You connect databases, files, and APIs, shape them into a clean model, and publish dashboards, KPIs, and search-style answers that people can explore without needing SQL. The same analytics can be embedded inside portals, products, or customer-facing apps, so users get answers where they already work.
At the data layer, Sisense lets you blend multiple sources and define a semantic layer that standardizes metrics. Revenue, enrollment, cycle times, and quality flags are defined once, then reused across every dashboard and embedded view. You can choose live queries for real-time needs or cached models for speed at scale. Scheduling, incremental refresh, and change tracking keep data current without heavy lifting.
For the experience, Sisense provides interactive dashboards with filters, drilldowns, and natural-language style querying. You can build guided workflows with Sisense BloX and add custom visuals or business logic through plugins and JavaScript. If you are productizing analytics, the Compose SDK and REST APIs let you theme, white label, and control the full experience so it looks and feels like your application.
Governance and security are first class. Single sign-on, row-level security, role-based permissions, data masking, and detailed audit logs support stringent compliance needs. Version history, promotion flows, and workspace controls help you move content from development to production in a controlled way. Alerting, subscriptions to email or chat, and PDF or image exports keep stakeholders informed without logging in.
Sisense also brings AI assistance to the surface. You can describe a question in plain language, get an answer grounded in your approved data, and generate narratives that reference the exact widgets and measures used. This helps non-analysts engage with the data while keeping outputs aligned to the semantic layer you govern.
Common outcomes include executive scorecards, operational monitors, customer usage analytics inside a SaaS product, and partner portals that share curated metrics securely. Teams reduce ad hoc spreadsheet work, standardize definitions, and shorten the time from question to decision. Developers ship analytics faster, with full control over branding and performance. In short, Sisense is used to deliver governed, embedded, and scalable analytics that meet both business and product needs in one platform.
