"Insightful for User Behavior, But Needs Robust Tracking Improvements"

What do you like best about Zoho PageSense?

The best part about Zoho PageSense for our Frankfurt furniture company is how beginner-friendly it is for non-technical marketing staff like me. We don’t have a dedicated data analyst on our team, and our web dev is always swamped with site updates and bug fixes. Before using PageSense, I had no way to visually understand how our B2B dealers and retail customers interact with our furniture website — we could only see vague traffic numbers and guess why our wholesale enquiry conversion was low. I used to waste weeks tweaking page content and button placement based purely on team discussion, with zero real user proof. PageSense’s heatmaps and session recordings completely changed my daily workflow. I can independently check user behavior on office furniture landing pages, home sofa product pages, and dealer request forms without asking for dev support. Last month, we launched a brand-new contract furniture landing page targeting local German furniture dealers. I used PageSense to watch real user sessions and quickly found a clear problem: almost every dealer scrolled past our sample request CTA button because it was placed too far down the page. I immediately adjusted the page layout and moved the core enquiry button higher, and within three days we saw a noticeable rise in dealer form submissions. This tool lets us fix conversion blind spots fast and iterate our website in real time. Even though I’ve run into tracking glitches and GDPR setup headaches, PageSense still gives us actionable visual insights we never had before, helping our small marketing team optimize lead generation efficiently. What do you dislike about Zoho PageSense?

The biggest downside of Zoho PageSense that’s caused me real work trouble is its unstable custom dimension configuration and total lack of system alerts. I had a critical operational issue a while back when I tried to set up custom dimensions to separate our regular retail furniture customers and professional B2B furniture dealers, so I could analyze their respective browsing behaviors separately. Right after I saved the new settings, the form submission event tracking for our wholesale dealer enquiries broke completely, and the platform gave me zero error prompts, warning messages, or configuration failure notifications. For four full business days, PageSense failed to record any valid dealer lead data, and I would have never noticed if I didn’t have the habit of cross-checking analytics data with actual incoming leads in our folk CRM. When I compared the two tools, I found a huge data discrepancy and finally confirmed the tracking failure. This silent error almost made us misjudge the conversion performance of our core B2B landing page, which would have led our team to make wrong marketing optimization decisions. On top of that, it creates constant GDPR compliance pressure for our German-based company. PageSense has no native integration with our website cookie consent tool, so I have to manually write and adjust trigger scripts to ensure session recording only activates after visitor consent. I also can’t fully delete outdated custom segments, leaving my workspace cluttered and messy. Its native B2B reporting is extremely limited, forcing me to export all raw data to Excel for sorting and analysis every single week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zoho PageSense solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before we adopted Zoho PageSense, our Frankfurt furniture team struggled with completely blind website optimization. We had no visibility into user browsing habits, and we could only rely on vague traffic statistics and sales team feedback to adjust our website and marketing content. I once spent an entire week rewriting the copy of our dealer cooperation page, guessing that poor wording caused low conversion, but the actual effect was negligible — we wasted plenty of working hours on ineffective adjustments due to lack of real user data. Zoho PageSense perfectly solves this guesswork problem by providing intuitive heatmaps, session recordings and conversion funnels. It lets me clearly see where visitors stop browsing, which furniture product pages have high bounce rates, and which form fields cause dealers to abandon enquiries. I can accurately locate page design flaws and conversion bottlenecks, helping our team make targeted optimizations instead of blind trials. That said, the tool still requires heavy manual verification to fit our business. After the custom dimension tracking failure incident, I always cross-verify all PageSense data with folk CRM, export backups to Excel regularly, and archive finished reports in dMACQ DMS+ to meet German GDPR record-keeping rules. It doesn’t fully automate reliable, compliant analytics for our mixed B2B and retail business, but it has completely eliminated our biggest pain point of flying blind on website user behavior.
