The biggest downside of ZOE Cadence is its extremely limited, rigid permission settings, which create consistent administrative burdens and minor data privacy risks when managing our multiple client project teams at our consulting firm. The platform only offers two basic access tiers: full admin access and regular participant access, with no granular, role-based permission controls for team leads. Our consultants are divided into distinct client-focused project groups, and each team lead only needs visibility into their own team’s check-in updates to assess workloads and team wellbeing. However, the current setup grants any lead with dashboard access company-wide view permissions, exposing sensitive employee feedback including workload stress, project bottlenecks, burnout concerns, and personal wellbeing updates that should remain confined to individual teams. This creates significant privacy and data segmentation issues for our multi-project workflow. To mitigate this flaw, I’m forced to rely entirely on strict manual naming conventions and separate labeled check-in groups for every client project. This fragile workaround is highly time-consuming and error-prone. Whenever consultants switch client assignments or project teams restructure, I have to manually reassign team members across check-in groups and double-verify all access configurations to prevent accidental data leaks.
