## Zabbix Reviews
  ### 1. Powerful, Flexible Monitoring with Highly Customizable Dashboards and Alerts

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deepanshu N. | Linux System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Zabbix?**

I have been using Zabbix for monitoring servers, network devices, VMware infrastructure, and services, and overall it is a powerful open-source monitoring solution for enterprise environments.

What I like most is its flexibility and wide monitoring support. It supports Linux servers, Windows systems, SNMP devices, VMware, cloud services, custom scripts, and application monitoring in a single platform. The dashboard and alerting system are highly customizable, and the proxy architecture helps in monitoring remote locations efficiently.

The template-based monitoring saves a lot of time, especially for infrastructure monitoring. Integration support for AWS, VMware, databases, APIs, and notification platforms like Slack and Telegram is also very useful.

One downside is that the initial setup and trigger configuration can be complex for beginners. The UI feels slightly outdated in some areas, and fine-tuning alerts requires experience to avoid excessive notifications. Many users in the community also mention the learning curve and configuration complexity.

Overall, Zabbix is an excellent monitoring tool for system administrators and enterprises looking for a scalable and cost-effective monitoring solution with advanced customization capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Zabbix?**

What I dislike about Zabbix is that the initial configuration and trigger setup can be complex for new users. The interface could be more modern, and managing alerts in large environments sometimes requires additional tuning and database optimization.

**What problems is Zabbix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zabbix helps solve infrastructure monitoring and server health management problems in our environment.

We use it to monitor Linux servers, VMware hosts, services, CPU usage, memory, disk space, network availability, and uptime from a centralized dashboard. It helps identify issues before they become critical by sending real-time alerts and notifications.

The biggest benefit is reduced downtime and faster troubleshooting. Instead of manually checking multiple servers, we can quickly detect performance issues, service failures, or resource spikes from one platform. It also improves response time for incidents and helps maintain service availability for clients and internal systems.

  ### 2. Can Zabbix handle large scale monitoring smoothly ?

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayush S. | Technical Support Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Zabbix?**

It is an open source monitoring tool used in Linux and it is used by our customer support to monitoring the servers. It is open source it is free which makes it a good tool to work with. We can customize the Dashboard and alerts as per our need using this tool. It is scalable and also reflects the history trends which is useful for us. It is easy to use if someone has knowledge of Linux.

**What do you dislike about Zabbix?**

Setup and configuration is tough for the new joiners. If I used to set the alerts some times it's tricky to implement.

**What problems is Zabbix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a monitoring tool which is used by firms it simply reduces the time which earlier consumed by checking the servers manually. If there is any services and servers it directly sends alerts which helps to reduce the downtime. Show live details of health of the servers which helps to minimize the downtime and helps to reduce problems. Zabbix stores the historical data for trend analysis and forecasting. So overall it is a very useful tool. I personally use this

  ### 3. Effortless Integration with Unmatched Visibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Zabbix?**

I really like Zabbix's ability to integrate with everything I have. It's very easy to integrate network devices, databases, or anything that supports SNMP or data sending. The integration feature stands out to me because I can easily integrate things like a UPS battery using SNMP. The features related to integration, such as alerting in Microsoft Teams, workflows, and email alerting, are very easy for me to use. The setup was super easy, like a play of a kid, with a very straightforward step-by-step process.

**What do you dislike about Zabbix?**

I can see some dashboards with how my management want with data that is not possible with so yeah that could be improved. It didn't meet my expectations. My suggestion is if there's a possibility to add some widgets that can make that possible, then it would be amazing.

**What problems is Zabbix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Zabbix for IT infrastructure and network device monitoring. It solves IT visibility issues by allowing us to see all network assets. The easy integration of various network devices and databases stands out, supporting seamless connectivity with SNMP and data sending.

  ### 4. Flexibility and real-time alerts: the best free option for IT and Cloud

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kennie G. | Chief of Technology, Transportation/Trucking/Railroad, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Zabbix?**

It is a free editing tool, with great flexibility and many nodes to monitor, it allows you to discover almost everything on IT and Cloud platforms, and the best part is its real-time alert system.

**What do you dislike about Zabbix?**

A lot of Linux knowledge is needed to take advantage of and adjust everything necessary for the good management of Zabbix. Deploying agents when there are many can become a bit tedious, and finally, improve its graphical interface a bit more.

**What problems is Zabbix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can have full control of my IT and Cloud platform from a centralized dashboard to act immediately in the event of any incident or service outage.

  ### 5. There are better, I'm only using this because I have to.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe V. | Help Desk Technician, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Zabbix?**

It's simple on the surface, but that's where it ends

**What do you dislike about Zabbix?**

1. It's needlessly complicated to get it to do what you want.
2. You need to be an expert in Zabbix in order to use it effectively
3. It only works well when you bolt on 3rd party mods
4. The support is far to expensive for the poor service it provides.

**What problems is Zabbix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's not, it just monitors our servers and even that is iffy at best.

  ### 6. Network Monitoring

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashraf S. | System administrators, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Zabbix?**

Open Source. Flexible and scalable, with auto‑discovery and automation. The alerting engine is solid, and it runs with low resource usage.

**What do you dislike about Zabbix?**

It takes a great deal of learning before you can really handle it effectively.

**What problems is Zabbix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zabbix addresses my visibility and alerting needs by monitoring servers, networks, and applications from a single place. For me, it helps reduce downtime, makes it faster to detect issues, and supports capacity planning so I can spot potential problems before they happen.

  ### 7. Intimidating But Feature Rich

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher R. | Information Technology, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Zabbix?**

I will start by saying Zabbix was not easy to implement and not easy to integrate, even for our advanced systems administration team.

I will say that once we got it up and running, we don't know how we lived without it and it is super easy to use.

We use it every single day to track packet loss, agent uptime, internet status, hard drive space, printer metrics, basically anything we can think of, Zabbix has a way for us to track it either directly with a Zabbix agent or via some sort of API.

There is no customer support, it's all on you!

**What do you dislike about Zabbix?**

Now that we're through the setup and have everything up and running, nothing at all! It's great.

**What problems is Zabbix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zabbix gives us visibility in to the status of all of our infrastructure. Can't overstate the importance.

  ### 8. Invaluable for Keeping Critical Systems Running Smoothly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Zabbix?**

An invaluable tool to make sure all the critical systems are running correctly.

**What do you dislike about Zabbix?**

The user interface may feel a bit dated.

**What problems is Zabbix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Preventing service outages by keeping a constant eye on the systems they run on.

  ### 9. Comprehensive Monitoring with Flexible Customization

  ### 10. Reliable Open-Source Monitoring, Ideal for Customizable Infrastructure Setups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pradeep K. | Linux System Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Zabbix?**

Zabbix offers deep flexibility in infrastructure monitoring. We’ve used it extensively to monitor Linux and Windows servers, network devices, applications, and custom scripts. Its support for SNMP, agent-based, and agentless monitoring gives us wide coverage. The templating system is powerful — you can clone, modify, or create your own templates for complex setups. The built-in alerting and notification logic is robust, and with a bit of scripting, Zabbix can even handle self-healing workflows.

**What do you dislike about Zabbix?**

The UI, while functional, feels outdated and not very intuitive for newcomers. Setting up advanced dashboards or integrating third-party data sources (like cloud metrics from AWS or Azure) often requires additional customization or external scripts. The learning curve can be steep if you're aiming for a fully automated and custom-monitored environment.

**What problems is Zabbix solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Zabbix to monitor over 100+ servers (both on-prem and cloud) and 300+ services including databases, load balancers, SSL certificate expiry, and disk/storage thresholds. It has drastically reduced our downtime by providing real-time alerts and historical trend data. We've implemented escalation chains, automatic ticket generation, and performance forecasting which has improved our SLA commitments.
