I use Zabbix to monitor my switches, routers, and Proxmox environment. The dashboard is very convenient and customizable, so I only see what I want and need, along with problems the software thinks I should address as soon as possible. It also looks for extra devices connected to specific VLANs and networks. Zabbix gives me more information for troubleshooting, so I’m not going in blind and can pin down the culprit without a lot of guesswork. It lets me know if something may go down or needs an update, and the graphing is really nice to show managers when they need more information. The documentation has made setup a lot easier. Once everything is built, it’s really nice to map out the network, and it’s a little fun to build. The initial setup was pretty simple after I found the login information. There’s a lot of manual setup to get all the appliances to work together, and it depends on which appliances you’re setting up. The documentation helped, but products with more technical support are easier to set up. I also had to spend a minute finding the login information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
