What do you like best about Yellowfin BI?

It's flexibility with customisable content fields and layouts, along with a good selection of pre-defined content with expansions through more technical means has allowed us to utilise it as far more than simply a BI Dashboarding system. We have worked been able to achieve Word like monthly and ARC report packs, PowerPoint like dashboard slides and multi-data integrating displays. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Yellowfin BI?

Some of the challenges include:

- Resource requirements keep growing with every update & this makes it tricky to manage the costing as a small business, thus we can suffer performance impacts.

- Long turn around times on highly impacting bugs as our experience may not be a key priority within the pipeline but it causes significant challenge for us. One of the most noteworthy is an export to PDF bug with long data tables where content is either cut off horizontally or vertically, making no options to work around the bug in any way and multiple attempts have been made to do so. This has been an issue for going on 3 yrs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Yellowfin BI solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is enabling us to run all report creation (big data and statistical) for our software platform, it empowers us to quickly deploy custom reports for our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
