What do you like best about Yalla?

Yalla is a team management application that supports collaboration, task and project management, and centralized communication for both remote and on-site teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Yalla?

UI/UX: The interface is generally clean, but moving between projects can feel a bit clunky. Switching from task boards to chat threads takes more clicks than it should, and some options are tucked away in menus that feel buried. The mobile experience also lags behind the desktop version.

Integrations: Yalla covers the basics (calendar, email), but the integration library is still fairly limited compared to competitors. We had to create workarounds for a couple of tools we rely on every day because there wasn’t a native connector.

Performance: It’s mostly stable, but we’ve noticed occasional lag when loading larger projects with lots of tasks and attachments. Real-time updates between team members can also take a few seconds to sync.

Pricing/ROI: Pricing is reasonable for small teams, but costs scale up quickly once you add more users or need premium features. The ROI is there if you’re using it fully, but more casual users may feel like they’re paying for capacity they don’t really need.

Support/Onboarding: The onboarding documentation is decent, but it isn’t very in-depth. Support response times were also a bit slow when we ran into a setup issue—it took about two days to get a helpful reply.

AI/Intelligence: The AI features feel like a work in progress. Task suggestions are hit or miss, and it doesn’t yet come across as a core strength of the product compared to more established AI-driven tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Yalla solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before adopting Yalla, our team relied on a patchwork of email threads, spreadsheets, and separate chat apps to manage projects. As a result, tasks would sometimes fall through the cracks, and status updates ended up scattered across multiple tools. We also had a hard time keeping everyone aligned on priorities, especially with team members working remotely across different time zones.

Since implementing Yalla, we’ve been able to centralize task assignment, project tracking, and team communication in one place. That shift has led to fewer missed deadlines and far less time spent chasing updates. We estimate we’re saving around 3–4 hours per week per team member that previously went into cross-checking emails and chat messages.

The centralized dashboard gives managers clearer visibility into workload distribution, which has helped us spot bottlenecks earlier and rebalance tasks before they become urgent. Onboarding new team members has also become faster, since project history and documentation now live in one searchable place instead of being spread across inboxes.

Overall, the biggest benefit has been reduced coordination overhead—less time spent on “where are we with X?” conversations and more time spent actually executing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
