What do you like best about Xara 3D Maker 7?

The capabilities you have in this program are amazing. You have full 3d controls with preloaded settings and suggested warps etc. Really a simplified solution for designers or anyone who wants to use some more 3d tools without learning the complex 3D Software. What do you dislike about Xara 3D Maker 7?

The user interface is a little dated, this however does not affect the results you can produce AT ALL. The interface is dated but familiar and is intuitive in its functions and controls. The program allows you to export to a variety of formats, however more integration to photoshop would be a very helpful and useful tool. Using the 3D type along with photoshop to composite effects and placement make this software great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Xara 3D Maker 7:

If you would like to save time in creating 3D Type or objects and have limited knowledge in the complex 3D Applications, this is an excellent tool to bring your work to the next level. What problems is Xara 3D Maker 7 solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have used Xara 3D to create 3D type solutions for Ads and other graphic applications. This program has taken the heavy lifting of building type in a 3d program like Autodesk 3DS Max or Maya and made 3D accessible for the Graphic Designer or strictly print designers. The amount of time to create and experiment on the fly with 3D Type with all typefaces and reflections is a HUGE timesaver and pays for itself in the level of 3D quality it can export.
