I am highly impressed by how WorkWitness helps me stay on top of my team’s productivity without trying too hard. This is possible due to the lightweight tool that tracks application usage. The AI-generated reports that automatically come to my inbox at 7 am are my favorites because they give me a much-needed overview of what my team is up to without me having to analyze hundreds of unnecessary charts. Secondly, I love how I can follow up on either “Focus Stretches” or “Context-Switch Storms.” This is a meaningful indicator that shows me when my teammates are achieving a productive flow or when they start switching contexts too often, hindering their performance.
WhatsApp and email synchronization within WorkWitness makes checking the dashboard a daily routine without feeling intrusive or counterintuitive. There is a certain degree of subtlety and restraint when it comes to tracking the relevant data about my team’s work processes. Finally, I appreciate how easy it was to set up the software – it only took me around five minutes. By and large, WorkWitness seems to promote a more trusting attitude towards employees, and in my opinion, this tool is the ultimate productivity booster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Currently, the biggest problem is clear – the tracker only works on Windows OS. Several teammates use Mac as their primary OS, which causes them to be left out of the tracking process on company-wide levels at least until it becomes possible to use such tracking software on macOS. As for the positive sides of the existing system, it is convenient to receive day-long reports in WhatsApp. However, the information may become too compact if the tracked person’s schedule becomes overwhelming, hence it would be more convenient to receive the information as short points in a text message.
