"WORKetc Streamlined Our Apparel Studio with One Connected, Customizable Platform"
4/5
What do you like best about WORKetc?

Honestly, the best part about WORKetc is that it finally consolidated all our messy, disconnected workflows in one single platform. At Sunlit Apparel Studio, we’ve got design, production, wholesale sales, and e-commerce teams all running day-to-day operations, and before WORKetc, we relied on outdated legacy tools and tons of random spreadsheets. Everything was siloed — client data, project tasks, wholesale orders, and basic billing were all separate. That created constant mismatches, missing updates, and tons of manual CSV cleaning and cross-checking that I had to fix nonstop every week. It was incredibly time-consuming and inconsistent for our team.

What I love most is how everything connects natively in one system, which makes my job as an IT-Business Operations Specialist way simpler. For example, during our recent spring wholesale collection launch, our sales team plugged all of our new boutique leads and bulk order inquiries straight into WORKetc’s CRM. Right away, those client accounts linked up with our internal design tasks, production timelines, and order line items. We could easily track fabric sourcing progress, sample revisions, and bulk fulfillment status all under the correct client profile.

Before we switched over, I had to manually export lead CSVs, cross-reference production spreadsheets, and double-check separate billing files just to make sure nothing slipped through the cracks. It was so repetitive and left a lot of room for human error. WORKetc completely removes that redundant busywork for us.

I also really like how customizable the platform is. Since we’re a fashion apparel brand, our workflows are pretty specific. I’ve set up custom fields to log fabric details, sizing specs, wholesale tiered pricing, and production lead times. Instead of forcing our team to fit generic software, we’re able to tailor WORKetc to actually match how our studio operates day-to-day.

On top of that, it’s made my legacy system migrations way smoother. I’m constantly phasing out our older tools and spreadsheets, and WORKetc’s stable data imports, clean permission settings, and reliable integrations make transitions far less buggy. It’s easy for me to collect real feedback from our designers and sales reps, document ongoing workflow pain points, and report clear improvements to leadership.

Overall, WORKetc streamlines our entire apparel operation, cuts down on tedious manual work, and keeps our whole team aligned across design, production, and sales. It’s easily the most reliable all-in-one tool we’ve adopted for our studio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WORKetc?

Honestly, the biggest frustration I’ve had with WORKetc is that it’s built for general business use, and it doesn’t quite fit the unique workflows of an apparel studio like ours. We deal with fabric sourcing, sample revisions, multi-stage production runs, and tiered wholesale ordering, and those fashion-specific processes don’t map neatly to its default project modules. A good example popped up during our spring wholesale launch. We needed to track multiple sample iterations, fabric swatch approvals, and separate production batches for the same boutique client. WORKetc’s standard project setup couldn’t break these out cleanly. I ended up building extra custom fields and external spreadsheets just to keep our production milestones organized, which defeats the point of moving away from manual spreadsheets in the first place.

The CSV import tool also has some annoying quirks that slow me down. When I’m bulk uploading new product lines or wholesale client lists, it’s really sensitive to formatting. Even tiny differences in how we structure sizing tables or fabric codes will cause partial import failures. It won’t always flag which rows failed upfront, so I have to manually compare the uploaded records against the original file to spot missing data. That adds extra QA work on my plate during busy launch seasons.

I also find the reporting features pretty rigid. As IT-Business Operations Specialist, I need to pull custom reports that tie wholesale order volumes to production lead times and material costs. The built-in report builder is limited, and it can’t easily combine project production data with CRM sales data in one view. I have to export separate datasets and merge them outside WORKetc every time I need to share insights with leadership. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
