"Essential for Compliance, But Needs Localization Improvements"

4.5/5

What do you like best about WordPress Quiz Maker Plugin?

The biggest draw for our Hamburg IT firm is its fully self-hosted data architecture. Every quiz response stays on our EU-located WordPress servers, no offloading to outside cloud providers—this checks a critical box for our GDPR, NIS2 and BSI IT-Grundschutz audit requirements when working with German SME clients. I rely heavily on its branching question logic to build tiered cybersecurity training quizzes that adapt based on a user’s baseline IT knowledge. The ability to add custom data consent tickboxes on every quiz page lets us document user opt-in without custom dev work, and one-click CSV exports make compiling audit evidence far less tedious than manual spreadsheet logging. What do you dislike about WordPress Quiz Maker Plugin?

There’s no native German translation for the plugin’s backend admin panel; only the public quiz pages support localized text. Our junior IT and compliance team constantly hit roadblocks navigating untranslated menus when building training assessments. No pre-made reporting templates tailored to BSI or NIS2 audits exist, so I spend hours reworking raw CSV exports each month to meet regulatory submission formats. When building long, multi-path security quizzes, the conditional logic preview slows drastically. There’s no API connection to our internal IT asset tracking system, requiring weekly manual copy-paste of participant training records. We also can’t capture quiz responses offline during in-person client workshops with spotty internet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WordPress Quiz Maker Plugin solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prior to this plugin, cloud quiz tools sent respondent data outside the EU, which created immediate compliance violations for our German client projects, and basic forms lacked layered assessment functionality. Hosting all quiz data locally eliminates cross-border data transfer risks entirely. It centralizes all training results in one accessible location, cuts down time spent manually scoring security tests, and streamlines the creation of verifiable records we need to pass annual federal cybersecurity audits.
