I feel like the best part of WIZ is its 100% agentless deployment and rapid time-to-value, since it scans the cloud environment from the outside in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Wiz is built on an agentless, snapshot-based architecture. While this enables deployment in minutes, it also introduces inherent latency and creates a blind spot around real-time runtime behavior. By contrast, competitors like Prisma Cloud take an agent-first approach by deploying “Defenders” into workloads, which helps them detect active, real-time post-exploitation activity—such as a reverse shell running in a container, ongoing lateral movement, or live cryptomining—that Wiz’s point-in-time snapshots can miss. In my experience, Lacework also performs better than Wiz when it comes to runtime behavior analytics and anomaly detection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
