WireMock Cloud provides a comprehensive platform for creating and managing mock services. What do you like best about WireMock Cloud?

I find the user interface of WireMock Cloud pretty slick and relatively intuitive, making it easy to pick up. I appreciate the convenience functions, like being able to import an OpenAPI specification to create a new mock with minimal effort. I like that we don't have to worry about low-level details, like managing the infrastructure, standing up our own servers, and network connections, because everything's handled for us online - we just point our product at a given URL. Wiremock Cloud has a lot of features that could potentially offer a lot of value to our company, such as data sources, which allow us to mock products backed by large databases without needing to generate a bunch of mock data, but we've not yet had the time to explore all the use cases as yet. What do you dislike about WireMock Cloud?

Having the request log is great, because you can see exactly what's coming in and hitting each mock, and if it doesn't match it offers suggestions for the closest match. However, the log history is capped at just 200 logs, which isn't sufficient to track down more detailed issues. We're trying to reduce costs by replacing a real service with WireMock, but if we accidentally spam it from an environment that shouldn't be hitting Wiremock, it can be difficult to identify where those calls are coming from. Either we need be able to go back more than a couple hours, or someone needs to monitor it in real time to catch the request logs within that 200 window. That's probably the biggest limitation for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering WireMock Cloud:

To improve the user experience, it would be beneficial to increase the log history limit beyond 200 entries. Additionally, implementing a feature that allows for real-time monitoring of request logs could help users identify and resolve issues more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WireMock Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

WireMock Cloud helps us mock integrations with third-party services, saving costs on requests like motor vehicle registration lookups. It also facilitates consistent, predictable responses in our software integrations, which is crucial for testing. The ability to simulate network outages and "chaos" is a nice feature, but one that we haven't fully exploited yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
