"Review of Windward Studios by a developer who has never used Report Engine"

What do you like best about Fluent by Apryse?

As someone using the Reporting system for the first time, the first thing I like is that it takes a short time to get accustomed to it. Next, despite its simple interface, it can implement almost all the templates you can think of. Lastly, due to the nature of the task called tagging, it goes through a process similar to logic coding, which is not very complex, and the basic support features like conditional statements, loops, and queries are very powerful, which is impressive. From a software developer's perspective, using Windward was quite useful as a kind of exercise to clear my mind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fluent by Apryse?

First of all, there is a kind of compatibility issue with the document DRM system used within the company. As a result, after installing Windward, most Excel documents and some Word documents are showing minor errors. It's not a critical issue like losing the content itself, but seeing an error message every time you open a document is not very pleasant. Another problem is that in the case of the if tag or for each tag, they must be written in pairs, so when writing, you first add the two tags and then proceed with the work. To insert content between them, you have to input a space between the tags and then add new tags. As a result, once all the tagging is done, you inevitably have to remove the spaces at the end. It would be nice if it were easier to insert content between the tags that are close together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Fluent by Apryse:

Since this is my first time using the Report engine itself, I cannot compare it with other products. What I can say is that I was able to implement everything I wanted through Windward Studios, and whenever I encountered any issues, the support team provided satisfactory answers promptly. I'm not sure about the price competitiveness of Windward Studios, but if it's at a similar level to competing products, I don't think you'll regret choosing this product. Our company is working on a project to automate processes that were previously done manually. Before the system was implemented, documents as deliverables were 100% manually created, but with the introduction of Windward Studios and Engine, combined with the test process database, it is now possible to generate them automatically.
