Before we used Windward, designing PDF documents within the standard functionality of the BeInformed platform was a very technical affair. PDF documents are often the end product of the processes that we, as IT implementation consultants, automate for governments in the Caribbean.
Where BeInformed excels in automating business processes, Windward excels in designing and generating PDF documents or reports. By separating these responsibilities and setting them up as a service, our documents have not only become more attractive but are also developed faster and with fewer errors.
During the integration of Windward into the BeInformed product and also when we encounter issues or want to add new functionalities to our documents that we initially cannot resolve, we receive excellent support from the Windward team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We work in the Caribbean as consultants for small governments. The licensing costs for small governments can sometimes be too high.
There are various Winward Engines available. Technically, the JAVA engine would be a more elegant solution in our application architecture. However, due to licensing costs and scalability, we still use the REST-ful engine, which is set up to be more scalable.
