"Widge Turns Tribal Know-How into a Usable, Company-Specific Knowledge Base"
5/5
What do you like best about Widge?

What we like most about Widge is its ability to capture and make usable the knowledge that previously lived in the heads of just a few experienced employees. A lot of our processes and know-how were not contained in formal documentation—they existed in handwritten notes, flow diagrams, charts, and the experience of longtime team members.

Widge was able to take that information, including handwritten materials, and turn it into a knowledge base that our team can actually use. The combination of Widge’s RAG technology and company-specific Org Skills means employees can ask questions naturally and get answers based on how our business actually operates, not just generic information.

It has been especially valuable for taking tribal knowledge and turning it into repeatable, structured processes that can be shared across the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Widge?

Widge takes some upfront effort to get the most value from it. Because it is built around our company’s specific knowledge and processes, we had to spend time gathering documentation, handwritten notes, process diagrams, and working with the Widge team to capture some of the knowledge that had never been formally documented.

That said, the process itself turned out to be valuable. It forced us to identify and organize tribal knowledge that previously lived with only a few employees, and once that work was done, Widge became much more useful and specific to how our business actually operates. So there is more initial involvement than there would be with a generic AI tool, but the end result is also much more tailored to our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
