What do you like best about Whispr?

I'm actually using Wispr to write this, so that's kind of funny. The fact that I don't have to type anything is really important to me because I kind of have pain if I stay on and type too much. It's just one button I press, and then it's done. Also, the fact that if I press Escape accidentally, it says "undo" is awesome. The UI is awesome here, and the UX is amazing. If I press Escape accidentally, same with the speed: it's pretty quick. The fact that I can just use it on any text box Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whispr?

The accuracy is just not great. It feels like I have to say the same thing. Maybe it just doesn't pick up my thing really well, like my dialect or accent, and it's just super, super, super annoying.

Also, the price per month, I feel like, could easily be $8. Cut the price in half because there are so many other competitors that I could just use instead.

The language thing is cool, but I feel like the language implementation for my particular language is not very well done.

Another thing is that the desktop app feels too cluttered. Get out of my way. I just want that small pail at the bottom, that's all.

I like the history. I feel like voice profiles are just useless. I don't know what they do. Maybe it's a growth thing. I haven't tried note taker. The insights thing is cool, but again, I really don't give a fuck. I don't care.

Dictionary is cool but just seems very complicated. Snippets is useful. Style just feels a bit useless. Transform feels a bit useless, and scratch pad I haven't really been using that much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Whispr:

To improve Wispr, consider enhancing the accuracy of speech recognition, especially for diverse dialects and accents. Offering a more competitive pricing model could attract more users. Simplifying the desktop app interface and focusing on essential features might enhance user experience. Additionally, refining language support for less common languages could broaden the user base. What problems is Whispr solving and how is that benefiting you?

Like I mentioned, it's mainly just being able to move fast, being able to dictate and prompt my agents about something that's extremely specific, or just able to ramble so I can give more context to my agents and also just get something done faster. Whether I be in software development, drafting Slack replies, especially on iOS, where the speech-to-text is absolutely dog shit, using Wispr is such a big upgrade on literally every single app. I can just talk, and it's so much faster because I'm not very good at typing on the phone.
