"Fast & Scalable, but you NEED to do manual reviews of the translations"

What do you like best about Weglot?

- Very fast and easy to install

- Automatically translates new pages, new text on existing pages, etc

- Scalable to add more languages

What do you dislike about Weglot?

It's hard to blame Weglot too much for this because no automated translation process will be perfect as they may interpret two words that are spelled the same way but mean different things as the wrong thing. Or more clever, cheeky, idiom based, etc types of copy are likely to get lost in translation by a machine.

For example we are an environmental startup focused on waste & litter but the auto translations would lead foreign visitors to think we were about 'cat litter'.

Even if you pay for this tool each month (or year) you will need to bring in some native speaker or professional translator to review.

Weglot does have a convenient manual review and override translation tool in their dashboard so they do make it easy to do this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Weglot solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have clients & users of our app from all over the world. We are a global community and we want to provide our app and our websites in multiple languages to accommodate our global community.

We have also seen an increase in organic traffic from foreign countries but take that with a grain of salt because we were starting at extremely low numbers so even though the % gain is fairly impressive, the total amount of traffic is still very low as of this review.
