What problems is Waydev solving and how is that benefiting you?

Waydev is a platform that helps the company I work for gain full visibility across all types of work. What we loved the most was the variety of insights Waydev provided, which helped to increase communication and visibility between managers and their teams... ultimately, this drove critical alignment. The fact that waydev can integrate with other tools that we use consistently across the board made the decision to implement Waydev easy. Overall, this is a great product for a better understanding of how engineering and product come together. What do you like best about Waydev?

We've been using Waydev on regular basis for about two years, mainly for engineering analytics and performance insights. The platform provides excellent visibility into engineering operations — from DORA metrics to PR-related insights — giving a holistic understanding of team performance and development flow. The Waydev team is very supportive, responsive to feedback, and proactive in helping us get the most out of the product. Integration with our existing tools was smooth, and the overall setup process was straightforward. Overall, Waydev has been a valuable tool for driving data-informed conversations and improving visibility into our engineering processes. What do you dislike about Waydev?

One area that could use some improvement is the Developer Experience (DevEx) surveys — they still feel a bit raw and could benefit from more flexibility and depth. Also, the number of available metrics can feel overwhelming at first, though it becomes manageable once you focus on what really matters to your team.

I’d also love to see more flexible dashboards that allow combining tangible data with subjective insights (for example, using the SPACE framework). In case of many integration, contributors management may be a bit more time consuming than it could be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Waydev helps us turn engineering activity into clear, actionable insights. "Good software for understanding how engineering and product come together"

What do you like best about Waydev?

I appreciate that it gives a more product centric view to engineering output. Rather than focusing on reducing engineers down to an abstract number making opaque claims about individual impart, Waydev looks more holistically at what engineering is working on, how it ties back to roadmap and higher level goals, and really helps understand where time is being spent. It's been great so far. It was a slow start for us because we also had to transition to using jira rather than Github issues, But as we've finalized processes, We're starting to have a nice trove of data to help with planning and facilitate discussions amongst engineering leadership and with the product organization. "Finally, a Clear picture of our Dev Team's work."

What do you like best about Waydev?

Before Waydev, figuring out our dev team was doing was basically educated guesswork. We'd look at Jira tickets, ask around and hope we had the full story. With Waydev, I can open one dashboard and instantly see where the work is flowing and where it's getting stuck. What do you like best about Waydev?

I found the setup process really simple. You have to connect to your git provider and Jira but it's really only a few clicks and the documentation provided was extremely clear. There are a lot of metrics you can track and you can create custom dashboards to organize them. The DORA metrics are also a great objective benchmark to compare against. It was hard to objectively determine how well the development teams, as well as individual members are performing. What do you like best about Waydev?

Waydev provides multiple data points that help technical and non technical managers better manager their engineering efforts and critical points. As a Eng manager and founder of over 15 years, I believe that data can compliment the natural skills of most Eng managers out there.
