"Great engineering analytics with truly personal support"

What do you like best about Waydev?

The level of personal support is outstanding. We have a dedicated engineer who knows our setup in detail, answers quickly, and works through problems with us until they are fully resolved rather than just closing a ticket. When our Deploy Time numbers didn’t look right, he reconfigured the branch exclusion rules, helped us understand how team composition and repo group filters affect the metric, and then pulled a full month of merge requests so we could validate every value against our own GitLab data. Everything matched.

The team is also very open to feedback. They actively improve existing functionality and add new features fast: within days of our request they built a dedicated Deploy Time report, an AI Footprint view, and a custom dashboard showing the share of AI-written code reaching production. They also prepared a Windows version of the AI telemetry installer for our developers. The move to the new ai.waydev.co platform has made the product noticeably more capable, and the built-in AI agent makes it easy to get precise answers from the data. What do you dislike about Waydev?

Getting metrics to reflect our real workflow took some calibration at the start (branch rules, repo groups, team setup), and the AI adoption metrics need time to accumulate data before they become meaningful. The support team helped with all of this, but new users should plan for an initial tuning period. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Waydev solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Waydev with our on-premise GitLab and Jira to track DORA metrics and AI adoption across our development teams. It gives us reliable delivery metrics such as Deploy Time that we can confidently report to management, and visibility into how much AI-assisted code actually reaches production. You’re right about the initial calibration period. Every engineering org has its own branch strategy, repo structure and team setup, and the AI adoption metrics need a few weeks of data before the trends become meaningful. We’re working on making onboarding faster and more guided, so new teams reach accurate metrics sooner.
