What do you like best about vThunder?

vThunder is a great solution for CGN in different sizes of ISP. vThunder gives you full functionality of CGN in the virtual server. Moreover, with vThunder you can "buy" CGN capacity, e.g., for 10Gbps and distribute that CGN Gbps in different locations. That's a new feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about vThunder?

The syslog is still difficult to track associations between the client and the public IP. It's not easy to deploy. You have a fixed NAT option, but with this feature, you don't maximize the public IP use. A10 offers another product to do this tracking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering vThunder:

It's a great option for these days. There are very few IPv4 addresses available, and CGN is absolutely necessary as IPv6 continues to grow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is vThunder solving and how is that benefiting you?

vThunder allows ISPs to NAT with CGN on a small, medium, or large scale. We've tested the solution for about four months, conducting tests in the lab and with clients. These are the tests we've done: - port forwarding and port mapping - home banking - web mail - online gaming (PS3 and PS4) - cloud network (Dropbox, OneDrive) - camera access from outside - SNMP configuration and radius.
