VR chat: New way to socialize! **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Bernardo F. | Logistics Software Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2023 **What do you like best about VrChat?** Its fun to use as long as you have a VR, you can connect, chat and interact with other people from all ages, in general is a good app with just the right amount of freedmos for everyone to enjoy. **What do you dislike about VrChat?** There is no real filter is you have voice chat activated, which for me is not a problem, but if you have younger people using it then they could run into all types of conversations, you know? **What problems is VrChat solving and how is that benefiting you?** The future is coming up fast, and the transition the the metaverse is sure something that we will continue to explore as time goes on, so this is a nice test of what there is to come. ### 2. It is also highly supported by current VR hardware, including finger tracking, gesture recognition, even full body motion capture. And it is highly available to users via Steam, Windows, etc. **What do you dislike about VrChat?** It's as much of a wild west as Second Life ever was, and similarly represents a trap for any company that's trying to grow their business in the emerging "metaverse". It is a closed system in many ways and money and time invested in making things for the community are likely wasted and *highly* possible to be soiled by being associated with NSFW content or racist/homophobic users. **What problems is VrChat solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is not solving the problem of VR Collaboration; the system is largely a toy. Sure, you can get into VR and basically discord chat with someone, but guess what: you can just get in a discord chat with them without putting on all that hardware! ### 3. It is a fantastic increment to the chat scene and more embedded in the world and technology of today. The platform supports both VR and non-VR modes which is great because although it is available to embrace the world of VR it also doesn't exclude those who don't have the equipment yet, providing a unique and immersive social experience to all. **What do you dislike about VrChat?** Probably the lack of moderation. As technology evolves, management and administration systems must evolve to keep up with technology. Still, although it's forgivable because it's a technology that is taking its first steps, some glitches and bugs may affect gameplay or user interactions. **What problems is VrChat solving and how is that benefiting you?** At first glance, it is inclusive. It allows people with various difficulties or disabilities to interactively access and connect with others. Also, sometimes people who are not in the same places can meet almost as if it were in person. ### 4. The truth is that VrChat imitates a game more than a "Virtual Reality Communication Channel," and thats OK, but causes that some people are just not comfortable with it. **What problems is VrChat solving and how is that benefiting you?** In our industry (Education) allows a fantastic experience for kids. It will enable some of them to concentrate and learn much more than another alternative. Still, we are in an early process, so this is preliminary. ### 5. This is defenitely a good way to go ahead. **What do you dislike about VrChat?** Nothing as such. Few updates as per the system requirement would make it even more better. There is nothingto dislike about, it's just that if it keeps on giving regular updates as it usually does, that's enough. **What problems is VrChat solving and how is that benefiting you?** This is helpful in reducing the time taken to travel just for a meeting, it evetually saves time, energy , money and makes it efficient. It gives us a proper professional feel even without being physically present over the venue. ### 6. From shooting hoops,paintball to holding meetings. It is a very straightforward and easy to use. Being able to create your own avatar really makes it for me! **What do you dislike about VrChat?** Some of the graphics may seem a little outdated. I haven't really run into to many issues with using vrchat. Sometimes it may seem a little glitchy but it's mostly from using a low battery headset **What problems is VrChat solving and how is that benefiting you?** Holding meeting from across the glove. We have been using vrchat to help communicate with each other and have been able to be much more productive with our work ### 7. You're able to interact with all kinds of users and collab on projects to create new worlds for users to enjoy. ### 8. You could be anyone, act as anyone sound like anyone be just the way you want to be. I also really enjoy the software that they offer for development, from making a new character to creating a new world. **What do you dislike about VrChat?** VrChat has a very large crashes issue, they will intentionally take you out of the game attempting to remove the joy. This could be perfected in a few way, maybe a stronger skin blocking? **What problems is VrChat solving and how is that benefiting you?** VrChat really helps with communication, community and collaboration. It allows meet new people that you could learn a thing or two from. It is also a really fun and enjoyable way to learn 3d modeling allowing your characters to come to life. ### 9. Whether it be with coworkers, friends, family, or foreign users, there is always something to chat about. **What do you dislike about VrChat?** VR Chat is still a relatively new software, so it sometimes has bugs. The motion tracking can be glitchy at times. Also, if you don't have fast wifi, you may experience lag. **What problems is VrChat solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solves the problem of feeling like the company is not united as often as it should be.
