What do you like best about VOGSY?

As the CEO of a growing German cybersecurity and compliance consultancy, having a clear overview of our company’s operations is essential. With VOGSY, I can now check our utilization rates, project margins, and revenue forecasts every morning at a glance. There’s no more last-minute rush for data or unexpected variances—our staffing and pricing decisions are now based on real-time insights rather than outdated reports.

What stands out to me most is how VOGSY enables a genuinely seamless quote-to-cash process, free from media breaks or the need for manual workarounds. In previous roles at former large consultancy employers, we relied on fragmented Excel workflows and disconnected systems, but that’s no longer the case. Our sales team can generate quotes, the delivery team manages projects, and finance handles invoicing—all within a single, integrated platform. This streamlined workflow has allowed us to eliminate redundant data entry, reduce the effort required for invoicing, and lower administrative overhead as we’ve grown from two founders to a thriving, expanding team.

What do you dislike about VOGSY?

Overall excellent, but if I had to name one wish, it would be for more native integration options with specialized German HR platforms. Legal obligations require detailed time-tracking of staff. Currently, project teams have to double-entry their daily hours (ERP & HR). This, of course, is an issue for all ERP systems. The true root cause is the German labor law. This is a minor enhancement request—everything else (mobile app, approvals, access rights) works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is VOGSY solving and how is that benefiting you?

The core problem we solved was fragmented visibility and process inefficiency. VOGSY provides one connected system from proposal to invoice (no scripts/exports), audit-ready time tracking with project-level approvals, structured access controls in the integrated Sharepoint backend, and live dashboards. So VOGSY became our single source of truth around our business processes.

In addition, we have placed specific change requests regarding XML demands by the European digital invoice standard and had very quick turnarounds. This in turn has impressed our clients as well when they have asked us to adjust or enhance data input into the XML invoicing files.

Also difesa has a mix of subscription-based invoicing models for managed services as well as time & material-based projects...VOGSY handles both with ease. Including separate deliverables per project as well as separate invoicing to various legal entities of the same customer.

For a young, fast-scaling cybersecurity consultancy in Munich, this means we've stayed lean while growing. We haven't had to hire back-office staff to manage disconnected systems. Our team focuses on delivering security advice, not wrestling with data entry. And our clients see transparent, detailed invoices that reflect exactly what was delivered and by whom—which builds trust and supports our positioning as a professional, compliant firm in a regulated market.
