"Centralized VM Management Made Easy, Though Licensing Adds Up"
4/5
What do you like best about VMware vSphere?

I like how easy VMware vSphere makes my day-to-day VM management through vCenter. I can check VM status, adjust CPU and memory, check storage, restart VMs, and handle other tasks from one console without logging into each host separately. I find snapshots useful when testing changes because I can roll back if something goes wrong. Centralized VM and datastore monitoring also helps me check resource usage and storage capacity from one place. It saves time during routine maintenance and makes managing multiple VMs more convenient. I also found the initial setup pretty easy, and the team explained the dashboard and configuration clearly. What do you dislike about VMware vSphere?

The licensing cost can be difficult to manage for a small environment like ours, and some advanced configurations take time to understand. I’d like a simpler interface for less common settings, clearer troubleshooting guidance and error messages, and better built-in tools. Step-by-step guidance for updates, compatibility checks, and configuration issues would help during maintenance, and more automation for routine tasks would be useful. I’d also like more flexible licensing options and a smoother setup process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
