MPP improved the Data analytics with direct streaming of data from disk to CPU have improved the performance. **What do you dislike about VMware Greenplum?** Requires high level technical know how for the initial setup and is in a steady growth requires continuous learning to manage the DB. **What problems is VMware Greenplum solving and how is that benefiting you?** Have improved overall performance of high level Data analytics of big data warehouses with the MPP architecture. The Database is built on already popular Postgres DB architecture which is a proven technology. Green plumb provides the unique cost-based query optimizer which helps to query large amounts of data and still pay less. This also does not degrade the DB performance even while dealing with petabytes of data. It's easy to deploy and maintain. Greenplum also provides AI features that collaborate with the analytics and operational workload features. **What problems is VMware Greenplum solving and how is that benefiting you?** Used for storing the retail analytics data and using the inbuild in-database analytics features we are generating various insights with less dependency on the external tools. Also, the machine learning capabilities of the database help run the complex algorithms very effectively. ### 3. SQL like syntax. **What do you dislike about VMware Greenplum?** A few times we have noticed that the segments go down, but they usually come up in seconds. **Recommendations to others considering VMware Greenplum:** 1. If you have a need for storing and retrieving huge datasets then GreenPlum is one of the best choices to make. 2. Queries perform faster when they are optimized. Eg: Use temp tables instead of joining 10 tables in just one single query. **What problems is VMware Greenplum solving and how is that benefiting you?** 1. We use GreenPlum to process our entire clickstream data and are providing intelligent business solutions to 1000s of customers on a daily basis. 2. To analyze data across tables and provide meaningful insights to customers. 3. Processing a huge amount of data in less time. 4. We are trying to process the data in real-time and have tried out various POC'S to help this happen and the results were promising. 5.
