What I like most about VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) is how it brings compute, storage, networking, and security together in a single software-defined platform. It makes infrastructure management easier by offering centralized operations, automation, and consistent lifecycle management, while still delivering scalability, high availability, and the flexibility needed for hybrid cloud environments. I especially appreciate that VCF reduces day-to-day operational complexity and helps IT teams manage enterprise infrastructure more efficiently and with greater consistency. What I dislike about VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) is the complexity involved in the initial deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting, particularly when it has to fit into an environment with existing infrastructure. The licensing model and overall implementation costs can also be high, which makes it less appealing for smaller organizations. On top of that, upgrades and compatibility management require careful planning and coordination, and the platform really benefits from specialized skills and training to manage it effectively.
