What do you like best about VISUM?

VISUM is having an easily understandable user interface which allows the user to surf over required methodologies easily. It has a unique approach towards the four stage demand modelling. As compared to other software options for planning, VISUM does have optional feature for scripting. You can use VISUM for transportation planning and modelling even without scripting. It allows the testing of network with multiple scenarios, 3D visualization of the network and many more. Another driving force is it has a very good customer support. There are forums where the product managers and leading officials are available to respond for the queries posted by the users. Also, VISUM offers a demo version, and a student version for the overall introduction of the software, with limited network modelling options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about VISUM?

Overall, VISUM is a very vast software and it takes time to get familiar with it. On the other hand, the costing of VISUM licensing is a bit expensive, as if the new professionals and consultants in the market cannot afford it. Recommendations to others considering VISUM:

There are multiple webinars available on the official company website of VISUM, which might help the user to get familiar with the software soon. What problems is VISUM solving and how is that benefiting you?
