"Browser-Native Simplicity, Needs Stronger Integrations"
4/5
What do you like best about Verishow?

My favorite thing about Verishow is its completely app-free, browser-based video consultation system, which fixed a huge pain point we struggled with badly when we used Vectera in our German higher education student support team last year. During the summer admission peak, we had dozens of rural and international students reach out for application guidance using low-end mobile phones and outdated laptop browsers. Back with Vectera, many students were forced to download extra plugins or client software to join our advisory calls, and over ten applicants failed to complete their consultation because the software was incompatible with their devices. Some students even gave up on their admission consultation entirely, which negatively affected our student service satisfaction rate. After switching to Verishow, all these barriers disappeared completely. Students can join video calls and start real-time co-browsing directly through a webpage link, no downloads or complicated setup required. I use the co-browsing feature every day to guide students through university registration systems, document upload portals and tuition payment processes. Unlike other tools, Verishow syncs browser pages smoothly even on unstable mobile networks, which perfectly fits our student group’s usage scenarios. I also love its encrypted session recording function. Last semester, we encountered a student dispute about application guidance details, and the saved recorded sessions helped us verify the consultation content and resolve the issue quickly while fully complying with German GDPR data rules. Additionally, the customizable widget design lets us blend the tool into our official website, giving students a unified and professional service experience without any disjointed third-party tool feeling. All these practical features make our daily student advisory work far more efficient and stable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Verishow?

The most annoying flaws of Verishow are its insufficient permission management functions and lagging technical support, which have caused us extra workload and operational troubles in our daily work. Before using Verishow, we tried Confrere, which had clear and easy-to-set role permission settings that let us separate ordinary advisors and senior management access. But after we switched to Verishow last spring, we ran into a serious management problem. During the graduation document review consultation period, all team members had full access to every session’s recorded files, with no way to restrict ordinary advisors from viewing sensitive student application information. This violated our internal data management regulations for German education institutions. I submitted a detailed support ticket to ask for role-based permission setup guidance, but the Verishow support team only sent a vague generic tutorial and never followed up with targeted technical guidance. We spent an entire week testing settings blindly and still failed to achieve refined permission control. Besides permission issues, its co-browsing function has obvious bugs when accessing encrypted university internal portals. Last month, when I guided an international student to log in to our secure student status system, the co-browsing screen froze suddenly right after password entry. The call was forced into a suspended state, and we had to restart the consultation from scratch, wasting nearly 20 minutes of working time. Worse still, Verishow has no native docking function for our CentralStationCRM. Every day after finishing consultations, I have to manually sort out student consultation records and import them into the CRM system, which adds nearly two hours of repetitive manual work every day, seriously reducing our team’s work efficiency.
