What has been most helpful about the platform, specifically the Harmonize module is its ability to take chaotic, unstructured legacy entries across our fleet and automatically map them into a standardized, clean, and fully enriched material taxonomy. As an analyst working daily inside our supply chain ERP, eliminating the sheer volume of messy legacy data removed our biggest operational hurdle. The biggest upside is that we no longer spend hours every month manually cleaning up manufacturer spelling variations, duplicate item classifications, and broken part descriptions in Excel; now, whenever I query our ERP systems, the material catalog is highly consistent, which has dramatically improved the speed, accuracy and overall reliability of our ad-hoc reporting and inventory analysis. The taxonomy mapping and rule-building phase is extremely detailed and requires a dedicated time commitment from your internal plant coordinators. It is a highly thorough process, so you just need to ensure you plan for that resource allocation up front rather than treating it as a quick background task. We are solving our historical lack of cross-facility inventory visibility and eliminating redundant procurement cycles. By using Verdantis MDM Suite to identify and merge duplicate spare parts across our different plants, w can confidently identify when one site has an overstock of a critical breaker or electrical component before w issue a purchase order for another.
