What I like most is how seamlessly it integrates with Next.js and Vercel’s deployment pipeline. Since I’m hosting siem-lite on Vercel, there’s essentially no extra configuration needed to get AI-powered responses streaming to the frontend in production. The provider-agnostic API is another major plus: I’m not locked into a single model vendor, so I can switch providers without having to rewrite the way I make calls. On top of that, the built-in streaming support saved me a lot of boilerplate I would otherwise have had to write by hand, and it helps the log-analysis side of the dashboard feel responsive and truly real time. The main friction I’ve run into is the depth of the documentation for more advanced patterns. Things like structured outputs and tool calling took some trial and error to get working the way I wanted, because the docs explain the basics well but get noticeably thinner once you move beyond a simple chat/completion flow. I’ve also hit occasional breaking changes between versions, which has meant double-checking my implementation after upgrading instead of being able to bump the version with full confidence. Neither issue is a dealbreaker, but more detail in the advanced-usage docs—along with clearer versioning and migration notes—would make the overall experience smoother.
