"Critical Tool for Authentic Feedback, Needs Better Integration"
4/5
What do you like best about Verbate.co?

I really appreciate how Verbate.co simplifies gathering authentic, video‑led qualitative feedback from busy civil‑engineering stakeholders without forcing us to lock everyone into lengthy scheduled live interviews at Civil Engineering Hamburg UG. Our contacts‑including general contractors, site supervisors and project‑owning clients‑are constantly on construction sites with unpredictable schedules, so arranging synchronous interview calls is always a major headache for our 11‑50‑person research team. This self‑service video feedback capability is such a big advantage, as respondents can record short smartphone video clips whenever they get a spare moment between site tasks. It reliably captures nuanced, human insights that plain written survey forms simply cannot draw out. Last quarter, we completed a multi‑unit residential build project and sent out feedback requests to a handful of subcontractor leads. Several of them submitted video clips during short site breaks. They walked us through concrete pain points including repeated material delivery hold‑ups, misalignment between different trade teams and unclear project‑update hand‑offs. These granular, real‑world observations would have stayed hidden behind vague one‑line answers if we only ran questionnaires in Corus. We feed segmented contact groups exported from Ubiquity Engage into Verbate.co, and this pairing has greatly lowered the risk of participant mix‑ups. Earlier, before we adopted this workflow, we managed qualitative respondent lists only in loose spreadsheets. During one commercial‑project review, my colleague mixed contacts from two completely separate building assignments. We nearly sent feedback invitations to the wrong set of subcontractors, which would have created confusion and damaged trust with key B2B partners. That kind of embarrassing mis‑targeting rarely happens now. Even with persistent CSV‑transfer headaches such as German umlaut character corruption, Verbate.co consistently delivers richer, more emotionally grounded qualitative input. Those video snippets give us tangible, story‑backed evidence we can include directly in client reports to help optimize project service and cooperation strategies across our civil‑engineering portfolio. What do you dislike about Verbate.co?

Verbate.co excels at self‑paced video feedback capture for civil‑engineering projects, yet multiple limitations create constant manual overhead and workflow friction when we work with Corus, Ubiquity Engage and FindThatLead for our client‑satisfaction and internal‑team opinion research. First, its quantitative survey functionality is quite restricted. It cannot support complex multi‑page questionnaires, conditional branching logic or consistent standardized scoring that our B2B research demands. All structured quantitative work still has to run inside Corus, splitting our feedback workflow across two disconnected platforms. For one post‑commercial‑project evaluation, we had to launch two separate outreach campaigns: a Corus satisfaction survey and a Verbate.co video invitation. One general‑contractor contact received both messages and reached out to complain about duplicate outreach, nearly opting out of participating entirely. There are no native integrations with our core tool stack. Every participant list depends on manual CSV export and import. Not long ago, we imported a batch of German construction‑industry stakeholders, and many surnames and company names containing German umlaut characters became corrupted. I almost loaded the flawed dataset and spent close to an hour cleaning each row before we could launch. We also deal with heavy manual matching work. Satisfaction scores live in Corus, while corresponding video assets sit in Verbate.co. I have to manually cross‑reference spreadsheets to pair rating results with video clips for client deliverables. Completed video links must be copy‑pasted one‑by‑one onto Ubiquity Engage contact profiles. Two months ago I missed pasting several links; when my teammate took over analysis, they could not match video feedback to the correct subcontractor contacts and our client reporting got delayed. There are no pre‑built campaign presets tailored for civil‑engineering use cases, so every video task needs full manual configuration. Advanced configuration menus are only available in English, which creates slowdowns for our junior researchers who primarily work in German. All these gaps add up to lots of repetitive manual intervention on nearly every research project we run. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
