What do you like best about VelvetJobs Outplacement?

Amanda Stadel has a wealth of knowledge, is incredibly professional, a clear communicator, and great at meeting people wherever they are in their job search. Our sessions covering resume and LinkedIn optimization, mock interviews, portfolio evaluation, and salary negotiation were all more beneficial than I could have imagined. What do you dislike about VelvetJobs Outplacement?

While it was helpful we could cover a lot of ground in our sessions, because we had to stick to 3, 1-hour blocks, there were long gaps between our sessions to make sure I had enough content to discuss. It would be very helpful if there was an option to break apart one of the sessions into smaller half-hour sessions so we could meet more frequently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering VelvetJobs Outplacement:

I have already recommended VelvetJobs/Might Oak Careers to my colleagues. I would also tell them to make sure to be sure to use their sessions sooner rather than later and to come prepared because the asynchronous communication will make the in-person meetings that much better. After three years of working at my previous company, my department was laid off and as part of severance, contracted with Amanda for career coaching. During our three sessions, she was incredibly insightful and a significant help to my job search, providing guidance from the recruitment industry and helpful resources.
