"VectorWorks works for a Naval Architect"

What do you like best about Vectorworks Architect?

Have used VectorWorks since it was MiniCad 1.0 on the Macintosh. Like it’s Mac feel. Learning curve is steep so I have mastered most of VectorWorks but still learn new things all of the time. Very rich with capability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vectorworks Architect?

Not much to complain about, have used other CAD programs but always come back to VectorWorks. Maybe it is already there, but would like a dynamic 3D slice viewer that moves through a shaded object with mouse or arrow control. Also a "bender" that can distort an object such as a plate or beam. What problems is Vectorworks Architect solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am a Naval Architect and I use it to design towing tank models and apparatus for testing. Since I retired from the Naval Surface Warfare Center, I consult with Stevens Institute Of Technology’s Davidson Laboratory. It helps me as I said design towing tank ship models, apparatus and report figures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
