## Vanta Reviews
 ### 1. Automated compliance with frameworks and reduced uncertainties when new regulations emerge

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lazar L. | Chief Security Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

It translates multiple framework controls into actionable items, monitors compliance, and lets you remediate deficiencies quickly. Because controls can be shared across multiple frameworks, fixing a test for one framework also improves compliance with other common requirements, such as patching, user access reviews, backups, and encryption. Automated tests flag when something that was fully compliant in the past needs to be addressed again due to workflow changes, so you don’t have to wait 11 months to discover a deviation at the next audit. Powerful functionality allows you to collect details from all contracts like common obligations such as incident notification SLAs, identify policy inconsistencies and discrepancies between policies and system settings.
The recent integrations of AI agents also supercharge audit responses by finding evidence across multiple systems and combining it into a meaningful narrative. Support is consistently responsive and stays focused on finding a solution.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

There’s a lot of information available in the tool that can be very useful for reports, KPIs, and historical evidence for auditors, but it isn’t always exposed or presented in a practical way. For most controls, there’s a large amount of historical data, and it can be difficult to filter down to what I need or to export it in a usable format.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The out-of-the-box frameworks—along with built-in controls, automated tests, and system integrations—enabled a very fast initial implementation and a high ROI. When new regulations come up, being able to stay compliant by adding a new framework removes uncertainty and reduces the need for guesswork.

 ### 2. Cumplimiento Simplificado y Monitoreo Eficiente

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose Iván G. | Compliance Account Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Utilizo Vanta para gestionar el cumplimiento de normativas como ISO27001. Me permite centralizar todo, monitorear integraciones, y planificar actividades. La simplicidad y las alertas ahorran tiempo y facilitan la coordinación interna.

 ### 3. Streamlined Vulnerability Management with Powerful Integrations Make Compliance a Breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jhon Lexter P. | Operations Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Vanta has truly transformed how we handle security and compliance workflows. The platform excels at making vulnerability management both easy and convenient—something that's rare in the compliance space. What I appreciate most is the intuitive way it allows us to manage and resolve security and compliance action items without the usual headaches.

The standout feature for me is the Linear integration. Being able to seamlessly convert vulnerabilities and security callouts into actionable tasks for our engineering team has been a game-changer. It bridges the gap between security/compliance teams and engineering, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. Instead of manually tracking items in spreadsheets or bouncing between platforms, we can create tasks directly in Linear, which our engineers are already using daily. This integration alone has significantly improved our response time and accountability.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

While Vanta is excellent overall, there's definitely room for improvement in how it handles scan management. My main frustration is the lack of an easy way to deactivate scans that aren't relevant to our specific environment. When certain scans become repetitive or don't apply to our infrastructure, it would be incredibly helpful to have a more granular way to turn them off.

Additionally, I wish there was better memory functionality for deactivated action items. Currently, when you deactivate something, your options are limited—you can either deactivate it indefinitely or deal with it repeatedly. What would be ideal is a middle ground: an option for Vanta to "remember" that we've reviewed and dismissed certain items, without having to make permanent deactivation decisions. This would reduce noise and help us focus on genuinely relevant security issues.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a startup with limited human resources where everyone wears multiple hats, Vanta has been essential in making compliance manageable without requiring a dedicated full-time team. The platform solves several critical challenges that are particularly acute for small, growing companies:

Centralized Policy Access
Vanta provides a single source of truth for all our security and compliance policies. Instead of hunting through shared drives or outdated wikis, every team member—whether they're in engineering, sales, or operations—can instantly access the policies they need. This is invaluable when you don't have a compliance department and everyone needs to be self-sufficient.

Streamlined Training Management
The platform makes security training accessible and trackable for our entire team. Employees can review training materials on their own schedule, and I don't have to chase people down or manually track completion. For a small team juggling competing priorities, this automation is a lifesaver.

Administrative Efficiency
From the administrator perspective, Vanta gives me easy oversight of all compliance tasks and monitoring without drowning in spreadsheets or manual processes. I can quickly see what needs attention, who's responsible, and what's been completed—all in one dashboard. This is critical when compliance is just one of many responsibilities on my plate.

Reduced Compliance Burden
Ultimately, Vanta transforms compliance from a resource-intensive burden into a manageable, sustainable process. Instead of needing specialists or consultants, our lean team can maintain our security posture and compliance certifications while still focusing on building our product and growing the business. For a startup, this efficiency directly translates to cost savings and faster time-to-market for compliance-dependent deals.

 ### 4. Vanta Makes SOC 2 Compliance Easy with Clear Visibility and Ownership

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis T. | Director of Product and Implementation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

We use Vanta mainly for SOC2 compliance and to make sure we have all items listed in a way that we can easily track them, understand what their current status is and also who is responsible for each item. Vanta gives us the visibility and easy handling of tasks.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

So far, I can’t say there’s anything I don’t like about Vanta. We’re a startup with fewer than 10 employees, and we really value easy access and a quick, clear summary of our status. Up to this point, Vanta has delivered on both of those needs.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a startup, we had (and still have) a bit of a mess when it comes to documentation, control, and access visibility for something as important as SOC2. Vanta is helping solve the issues I mentioned by keeping everything in one system and giving us the control and visibility we need.

 ### 5. Seamless Integrations with Reliable AI-Powered Compliance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hiba K. | Cybersecurity Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

It makes it much easier to bring all of our integrations together in one platform. The UI is very easy to navigate, and it was straightforward to onboard our team. Overall, it has improved our performance, with the AI features helping our evidence be more accurate for our auditors. We’ve achieved a lot with their very reliable platform, and the employees have been friendly and worked with us to match our budgeted price.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Sometimes syncing with platforms takes time, so during audits we have to prepare beforehand and occasionally verify things manually. I also wish the RBAC offered more customization, so we could set more tailored permissions for our roles.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our problem is maintaining compliance across a lot of frameworks all at once. Vanta gives us 360 visibility into compliance, from evidence to policies to documents, and helps us maintain continuous compliance.

 ### 6. Always Improving with Great Support and Reliable Sync Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sari I. | Information Security Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Always improving, with great support and rarely any bugs. The sync integrations are fast and reliable, and overall it’s a wonderful tool to use.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Pricing could be improved. As an Information Security Officer with over five years in the field, I don’t think it makes sense for purchasing the framework for GDPR or CCPA, for example, to be priced the same as SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001. ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II require so many controls and tests, whereas GDPR is much less involved, and I believe that difference should be reflected in the pricing models Vanta adopts.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to almost fully centralize GRC into Vanta, on all fronts, from HR to Infra. Its very user friendly and the roles and permissions are great for delegation and collaboration.

 ### 7. Vanta Makes SOC 2 and ISO Prep Simple and Actionable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary P. | Head of Customer Success, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Vanta democratizes SOC 2, ISO, and other certification preparation and audits. It tells me exactly what to do, when to do it, and what I’m missing along the way. I could have hired a larger, expensive consulting firm to handle all of this work for me, but with Vanta I didn’t need to. That’s allowed me to repurpose those budget dollars to where they’re most needed: my security stack.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

While Vanta makes it simple to prepare for and pass a SOC 2 certification audit, it can feel fairly rigid. What I like most is that you can connect your infrastructure and security tech stack and it does the rest—that’s literally how and why it works so well. It handles the control testing for you.

That said, there are often systems I can’t connect because privacy requirements don’t allow it, and there isn’t (as far as I know) much wiggle room in those situations. Also, when you connect anything, it seems to see everything and often surfaces systems, vendors, or issues that are irrelevant—basically false positives—that you then have to keep explaining away on each sync. Maybe they’ve solved this and I’m just not aware of where the magic “fix it” button is.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta is guiding me through my first SOC 2 audit. It feels like having a large audit firm in your corner, working with you pro bono. Yes, the application has an annual fee, but it’s negligible compared to what we’d be paying a consulting firm. Will we need a consulting partner or a full-scale security team in the future? Probably. But right now, in these early days, Vanta is all I need.

 ### 8. Automating Compliance for Faster, Scalable Security Audits

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Digvijay C. | Management Trainee, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Vanta’s ability to automate continuous compliance monitoring is a significant operational asset. The platform’s integration with our tech stack allows for real-time evidence collection, which has drastically reduced the manual administrative burden that usually accompanies security audits. I particularly value the centralized dashboard for tracking framework progress; it provides clear visibility into our security posture across SOC 2 and other standards, making it much easier to coordinate internal tasks without relying on fragmented spreadsheets or constant status meetings.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

While the automation is robust, there is a learning curve associated with setting up the initial mappings correctly across complex, multi-tool environments. I’ve also found that as we scale, managing third-party vendor risks can occasionally feel manual if the vendor isn't already within the Vanta ecosystem. Additionally, while the dashboard is great for high-level monitoring, I would appreciate more advanced, customizable reporting options to tailor views for different internal stakeholders without needing to export data to external tools for further analysis.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Vanta, our team struggled with the "audit fatigue" that comes from manually gathering evidence and maintaining compliance documentation. We were constantly juggling deadlines for different frameworks, which diverted time from strategic work. Now, Vanta acts as a single source of truth. By automating evidence collection and providing clear, actionable tasks, it has shortened our audit preparation time significantly. This allows us to focus on scaling our business while maintaining high-trust security standards, ultimately enabling us to close deals faster by proactively demonstrating our security posture to partners and customers.

 ### 9. Useful Dashboards, Excellent Notifications, and Reliable Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Becca W. | Customer Service Analyst, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

The dashboards/product landing pages are very useful. I like seeing the action items clear and centered. The notifications sent by the platform are excellent to remind myself (the assigned owner) and others to complete action items. Vanta also has a good number of integrations that are reliable and allow us to manage multiple items in a single place.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Some things are hard to find and not very intuitive. There was a recent update on organization-level tests that no longer work across multiple products (for us, we have two products in Vanta but track organization-level in our 'main' product). This change broke our percentages so the product is less reliable now than it was before.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cuts down on time when it's time to run audits.

 ### 10. Vanta’s Automated Continuous Monitoring Keeps Compliance Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emilia G. | IT Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Vanta's automated continuous monitoring is the biggest win — it constantly pulls evidence from JumpCloud, Google Workspace, AWS, and our other integrated tools, so we always know our compliance posture without manual audits. The access review workflows save us significant time each quarter, and the integration ecosystem is broad enough to cover most of our stack out of the box.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The user access review workflow is tedious — exporting CSVs from each tool, uploading them, and manually matching users is time-consuming, especially for tools without a direct integration. Some integration coverage feels shallow (data syncs but doesn't always pick up the right evidence), and the UI can be slow to load when navigating between sections. Pricing also scales steeply as you add frameworks.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta solves the problem of continuous compliance monitoring without requiring a dedicated GRC team. Before Vanta, evidence collection for SOC 2 and other frameworks meant chasing screenshots, manually pulling reports from each SaaS tool, and rebuilding the same artifacts at every audit cycle. Vanta automates that by pulling evidence directly from our integrated systems (JumpCloud, Google Workspace, AWS, etc.) and surfacing failing controls in real time, so we can fix issues as they occur instead of discovering them during an audit. The benefit is significant time savings, lower audit prep stress, and a clearer ongoing view of our security posture.

 ### 11. Centralized Security Monitoring and Smart Task Assignment in Vanta

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aleksandr S. | Senior Manager of Information Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

"The most valuable aspect of Vanta is the ability to centralize security monitoring across our entire infrastructure. Instead of manually gathering statistics from dozens of disconnected services, I have a single pane of glass for all our security metrics.
As a manager, I particularly appreciate the task assignment functionality. It allows me to delegate specific tests and remediation tasks to employees within their respective domains. This distributed approach not only ensures that the right experts are handling the right issues but also helps in balancing the workload across the team, making our compliance process much more efficient."

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

In my experience, the UI is currently Vanta's most significant drawback. The primary issue is the lack of seamless navigation between related data points, which forces constant switching between different modules. For instance, you cannot directly open a linked computer's details from the employee list, which is a major friction point in a manager's workflow. These small but frequent inconveniences and the absence of intuitive cross-linking make it difficult to access information quickly, often leading to a fragmented and less efficient user experience.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta addresses the critical challenge of maintaining a continuous security posture in an increasingly complex digital landscape. The primary problem it solves for us is the fragmentation of security compliance; it serves as a master dashboard that provides real-time visibility into our audit readiness.
This benefits me significantly by automating the oversight of security metrics and internal guidelines. Instead of relying on manual check-ins, the platform proactively monitors our environment, ensuring that no requirement falls through the cracks. For the management team, having a centralized source of truth for audit progress simplifies high-level reporting and allows us to address potential vulnerabilities long before an official audit begins. It essentially shifts our compliance strategy from a reactive 'sprint' to a proactive, manageable, and continuous process.

 ### 12. Well-executed integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

By using the integrations built into Vanta for the cloud services we use, we kept our cycle times for going from notification to fixed very low. The acceptance AI is handy, as we get immediate feedback on our submissions.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I wish there was more integration between some of the Document tasks and our ticket tracking system, e.g. for pentest remediation it would be nice to tag those cards as "pen test remediation" and have them automatically show up on the Document task. As it is, I need to gather all the URLs and/or screenshots manually. Also, it would be smoother if updated requirements were received regularly throughout the year, instead of what feels like a significant portion of new requirements appearing during the audit period (when we're working on the audit).

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In order to grow our business, we needed to quickly achieve compliance with multiple overlapping standards. Vanta helps us keep all the requirements straight and focus on exactly what matters.

 ### 13. SOC 2 Compliance Made Easier with Helpful Tasks, Integrations, and a Clear Dashboard

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

The most helpful thing about Vanta is pointing out to me the tasks that need to be done to be SOC 2 compliant. There are integrations with all of the products I use on an every day basis so I never have to go into each product to find out what I am missing. The dashboard on the homepage gives me a good idea of how much I am missing. A lot of controls might be not passing but a single task is responsible for that. It's a bit confusing to understand sometimes. Vanta performs well since I don't need to wait an unreasonably long time to see whether my changes have resolved the issues or not. Support has been good. It was a bit tough to speak to a human though. The AI agent was not able to give me a suitable solution when some of the computer checks were not passing on one particular computer. It was not clear how to reset/fix the Vanta Device Monitor to resolve the issue. I feel like we are getting our money's worth because there is a lot to be SOC 2 compliant and Vanta is making it a lot easier.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

It feels like there is a lot going wrong sometimes but maybe it's because the same control appears under multiple requirement categories. Maybe the information can be laid out in a different way to make it bit less overwhelming.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta is helping me help the company be SOC 2 compliant. I don't have to go into multiple products every day to figure out whether or not we are SOC 2 compliant. It saves a lot of time and effort.

 ### 14. Effortless Compliance with Vanta

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aryan R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I like Vanta for automating our security monitoring and audit processes, which saves us time and keeps our data secure. The automation and monitoring of evidence have been time savers for us, and the ease of use with a centralized view is fantastic. Vanta helps us stay compliant without the stress, managing everything from one dashboard, making compliance simple and continuous. The ability to pull evidence automatically from AWS, Github, and Slack is super helpful. The initial setup was very easy, with guided onboarding and integrations quickly connecting our tools.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Overall Vanta works great. If I had to suggest one thing, It would be more integrations with niche tools we use & a bit more flexibility in custom reports.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vanta for SOC 2 Compliance. It automates security monitoring, saves time, simplifies compliance, and offers a centralized dashboard to manage everything. Vanta turns compliance into a continuous process instead of a stressful yearly scramble.

 ### 15. All-in-One Visibility for Vulnerability Findings Across Repositories

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I primarily use Vanta for Assets > Vulnerabilities. I manage updates across multiple repositories, and I keep the Findings by asset page open in a browser tab pretty much all the time. I like that the UI lets me see almost everything I need at once.

If I could add one feature, I’d want the ability to reorganize the columns so I can put SLA Status and Due Date first. Right now I regularly have to scroll the table to the right just to see how much time I have left for each repo.

On performance, I’d appreciate more detail on refresh status. It warns that it might take a couple of hours, but it’s usually much faster (which is great). Still, it would be helpful to have a bit more visibility into where the refresh is at.

For the AWS integration, it would be really helpful if Vanta could pull in the specific area where the offending file is located. For example, when I go into ECR and select a specific finding, there’s an “Affected packages” section with “File paths” on the side. If Vanta surfaced that same data, it would save me a lot of time. Often I’m trying to figure out which dependency is using an offending sub-dependency, or whether the issue is with a default gem in Ruby itself.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Just the scrolling to the right on the table for the vulnerabilities "Findings by asset" page. If I could see the SLA Status and Due Date first, that would be great.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta solves the problem of observing vulnerabilities across multiple dependencies along with knowing how much time I have to fix them, which helps me plan out my priorities.

 ### 16. Streamlined Team Certifications with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reilly K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I find Vanta very easy to use, even for those who don't have a background in these types of certifications. It makes it available for everyone to work on the project together, instead of needing a dedicated resource with a background in these certifications. The initial setup was very easy, and we had a lot of support from the customer success team.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I think the only thing that could be improved is some of the connect that we wanted to use weren't available, but Vanta did make it easy for us to put in those as a request. And then there was some specific certifications around the government of Canada that we're not available in Vanta, but we do know we can use the custom frameworks for that.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vanta to streamline certification processes like SOC 2, GDPR, and ISO 27001. It simplifies participation for our small team, allowing everyone to contribute without needing dedicated experts.

 ### 17. Limited Customization and Audit Visibility Create Big-Four Auditor Friction

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

It is a well organized system, and learning to use it is quite easy. The AI is quite possibly the best I've seen in the market, and the support is great.
The integrations are kind of "it is what it is", new integrations we've requested went ignored, however the one that are there are mostly solid. Oh yeah, and the check list wants me to talk about performance. The performance is fine. The performance is not the issue.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The customisability is limited, as is the visibility in the audit, and this has caused friction with our auditors. Our auditors are one of the big four so this is not like were doing something out of the ordinary. The friction with the auditors is the big minus and the fact that you have to pay more because for customizability on an already pricy product puts it as a "meh" for me. I don't know that it genuinely gave more value than an massive excel that the auditors could have edited in advance. That would saved us missing tests that the auditors deem as basic but weren't ****ing there and we couldn't add in Vanata.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The GUI is very nice and very organized. Lovely GUI. Yay GUI. Not much more.

 ### 18. Comprehensive Compliance Hub with Strong Integrations and Built-In Audits

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

It’s a comprehensive, central place to keep track of compliance. It also offers a solid set of integrations that help with fulfilling compliance tasks. On top of that, audits can be handled within the same application, which helps avoid inefficiencies.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

- I have had some issues with how Tests and Documents are integrated
- The tests page filters sometimes show a different count than the tests displayed
- There is a lag between the Vanta Agent and the outcome in compliance tasks
- We have ran into some issues with the Vanta Agent, like not reporting correctly some security configuration settings from user's laptops, showing as being installed correctly but not reporting activity
- We have seen the HubSpot integration reporting incorrect information
- The menu could be sometimes confusing, especially between Documents, Controls and Policies
- Changing the owner of some resources is not standard, sometimes the owner is visible but other times it is hidden behind an option

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Does a good job on keeping track of security compliance tasks. It helps us to be SOC-2 Type II complaint with minimal effort

 ### 19. Streamlined Compliance Management with Vanta

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I really like how Vanta helps with drafting, especially by bringing specific company information into a template to streamline the process. I appreciate how it's evaluated across controls policy documentation, allowing me to save previous drafts and create new versions. This makes handling compliance information simpler, without starting from scratch, since all my data is already in one place.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

As much as I do know the Vanta agent, it could be improved in the sense that there are times that I will have to repeatedly tell it to remove highlight areas for specific brackets that work as placeholders within templates. I would prompt specifically to be removing this and replace it with information from our company, and it won't be doing it. So if there are times that I have to, or it will actually change it, and there can be some parts of it that aren't fully correct. It takes all these tasks without having to be asked multiple times.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vanta to store all my compliance information in one source, making it easy to access and incorporate expert insights. It streamlines the compliance process by integrating company information into templates and maintains draft versions, saving time on starting from scratch.

 ### 20. Simplifying Security and Compliance Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

What I like best about Vanta is the centralized visibility it provides into our security and compliance posture. The automated monitoring of controls, integrations with our infrastructure and security tools, and continuous identification of issues help us detect gaps and prioritize remediation efforts. It also simplifies evidence collection and makes it easier to track compliance requirements and maintain visibility across the organization.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

One area that could be improved is the clarity and prioritization of some alerts and failed controls. At times, determining the exact root cause and the specific remediation steps requires additional investigation outside the platform. More detailed technical guidance and context for remediation would help security teams resolve issues faster and improve the overall workflow.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta helps us centralize our security and compliance monitoring, quickly surface failed controls, and maintain continuous visibility into our overall security posture. It cuts down on the manual work involved in collecting evidence and tracking compliance requirements, while also making it easier to spot security gaps that need remediation. As a result, our security team can prioritize issues more effectively, streamline workflows, and maintain a more consistent, repeatable approach to compliance and risk management.

 ### 21. Organized Compliance Management with Minor Performance Hiccups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I use Vanta to manage our SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance. It's organized and easy to use and understand, which keeps us from having to rely on spreadsheets or misunderstandings. I also find the built-in tool for auditors to complete audits really beneficial. The integrations are helpful as they monitor and help us stay up to date. Switching to Vanta from OneTrust was a good move because Vanta is more organized, easier to use, and helps us actually complete our SOC. The initial setup was easy with just a quick onboarding.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I think the performance of the site can be slow to refresh sometimes. Sometimes the tests or percentages of completion for tests or goals are not accurate until refresh, or sometimes show something is wrong but when you do it's actually passing and just hasn't updated.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vanta to manage Soc2 and HIPAA compliance. It organizes our platform with easy tools, eliminating spreadsheets. Vanta helps auditors complete audits, integrates seamlessly, and keeps us up to date.

 ### 22. Intuitive Compliance Tool with Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua J. | Senior Staff Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I think the support that we received from Vanta's team is really good, and they're very responsive with addressing any questions or updates to their software. I've met with the development team personally to help design the next kind of iteration of the Vanta software, and they definitely take their customers' feedback very seriously and try to build a better product. The actual platform is fairly intuitive to understand, and I like the user interface and how it organizes a great amount of information to keep track of open items. The Vanta tool is easy to track and follow, helping with what open items are needed, getting back on track, and tracking due dates—essential for compliance or certifications like SOC 2. Setup was super easy as everything was very well laid out from the onboarding team, with templates and instructions detailed enough to get a small team started in the right direction.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I think there's some strides that they could make in the nesting of certain features. For example, access reviews are a little bit difficult to find since they're pretty far nested underneath different tabs and groupings. The navigation aspects of the site could be better routed.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Vanta solves the organization aspect of maintaining SOC 2 certification, helping our small team of two or three manage compliance effectively despite limited resources.

 ### 23. Centralized Risk Management with Room for Automation

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James V. | Director of Risk Management & Audit, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I really like Vanta's centralized aspect. Everything is captured and tracked in one main location, which means I don't have to go hunting around in multiple places to piece together information related to enterprise risk management or management's risk mitigation plans. This centralized repository allows all updates to be reflected there, and reporting can be had from that one central place. It really helps tremendously, particularly for external audit readiness like for SOC 2, as it provides a clear picture of where we stand with outstanding documents and tests we've passed, so we always know our standing.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

There are some manual processes in Vanta that make things cumbersome. Specifically, in the action tracker, the notes section is a manual process where people can overwrite things that are already there. I don't get automatic notifications when someone makes updates, so I have to manually check if updates have been made. It's a bit of a pain.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vanta to centralize evidence and documentation for external audits and risk management. It keeps everything in one place, helping us with audit readiness and knowing our status on documents and tests.

 ### 24. Intuitive Interface, Essential for SOC 2 Compliance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I really like the user interface and user experience of Vanta. It's very intuitive for me, the management team, as well as all our stakeholders, whether they are internal employees or any external firms we work with. It's unified and cohesive, making it seamless for almost anyone to understand.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I think specifically for the vulnerabilities that we had, there's room for improvement. Even though it's not completely a Vanta issue, it has to do with how we're triaging and prioritizing them. Often, we have labels for GitHub vulnerabilities like critical, high, medium, low. But at the end of the day, if we had any missed day, it just showed that we were not compliant. I feel like there could be some sort of variability there so that if someone is approaching the platform, they can see the degrees to the vulnerabilities or outstanding things.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta helps us manage SOC 2 compliance by organizing multiple moving parts like terminations and vulnerabilities. It allows us to address these issues expediently and correctly.

 ### 25. Streamlines SOC 2 Certification with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittany N. | Digital Ops Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I like that Vanta simplifies and automates our SOC 2 certification efforts every year. They give us access to competent auditors, which is really helpful. I appreciate their robust system and the lots of integrations they offer. It's great that Vanta essentially has their own auditor hub, and they refer auditors to us, saving a lot of time and making everything more streamlined and easier. The platform is especially useful as auditors can go in and see everything that has been uploaded, making things really clear and upfront for us. The initial setup was extremely easy and seamless, which is part of the reason we stay with it.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I think sometimes moving around how they do certain tests, and I used to be able to easily hover over users when deactivating someone and pull up their profile. Now it's a little harder to do that, and there's more menus to go into to deprovision them, which used to be a lot simpler, I feel.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta simplifies and automates our annual SOC 2 certification efforts, saving time and streamlining processes. It provides a robust system and integrations, gives access to competent auditors, and offers a clear platform where auditors can see all necessary documentation.

 ### 26. Proactive Compliance Monitoring with Vanta

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akarshi C. | Applied AI Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I use Vanta to ensure my AI system and cloud environment meet security and compliance requirements effortlessly. I love how it automatically collects audit evidence, letting me focus on building AI solutions while staying compliant with standards like SOC 2 and ISO 27001. Its continuous monitoring feature is fantastic for identifying security and compliance issues in real time, without needing manual reviews. I appreciate getting alerts if a cloud resource becomes publicly accessible or if a required security control is missing, which helps prevent compliance violations proactively. The setup was easy for us, which is great too.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

There's a minor drawback which I could say that needs to be improved. It offers limited requirements such as model risk management, datasets lineage, prompt security, and monitoring for generative AI systems.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vanta to ensure security and compliance for our AI systems, reducing the administrative burden. It automates evidence collection, identifies security gaps, and maintains customer trust. Continuous monitoring alerts us in real-time to prevent compliance issues, helping keep our infrastructure and permissions secure.

 ### 27. Strong continuous monitoring for ISO 27001, worth the learning curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Vanta's continuous monitoring does a lot of the heavy lifting for our ISO 27001 program. The integrations pull evidence automatically, so instead of chasing screenshots before an audit we get a live view of where our controls actually stand. The access and vendor tracking has been especially valuable for us — seeing who has access to what, keeping personnel onboarding and offboarding visible, and having vendor risk in one place has taken real manual effort off our plate. Over time it has become a reliable single source of truth for our compliance posture.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

There is a real learning curve at the start. Getting comfortable with how the platform is structured, understanding what each failing test actually means, and knowing how to action it takes time, so it helps to have someone able to invest in that initial setup phase.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta gives us continuous visibility into our ISO 27001 controls rather than a once-a-year scramble before an audit. Automated evidence collection, together with access and vendor monitoring, means far less manual tracking and fewer surprises at audit time. Practically, it lets us catch control drift early instead of discovering it during review, which makes our whole compliance effort more sustainable and frees the team to focus on the work that actually needs judgement.

 ### 28. Comprehensive Compliance Management, Yet Search Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankit C. | Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I like that Vanta helps us a lot in being SOC 2 compliant. It's also quite helpful as we're working on ISO 27000 certification. Vanta provides a consolidated view of our entire compliance policy, allowing me to monitor anything and everything related to compliance. The timely reminders to update our documents and policies that we might have missed are particularly beneficial. I find the Slack upgrade and the time limit features quite helpful as they give an exact timeline for upgrades.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The search features in Vanta are a bit confusing. Searching for specific policies or compliance issues can be cumbersome, especially if I don't have the links readily available. It's not very user-friendly, and the search functionality doesn't work properly when looking for particular compliance issues or policies. This aspect could be improved a bit.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta helps us be SOC 2 compliant and ISO certified by providing a consolidated view of our compliance policies. It allows me to monitor everything related to compliance and provides timely reminders for document updates.

 ### 29. I am using Vanta for last 5 years

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

What I like most about Vanta is how much manual work it removes from our compliance audits. Automated evidence collection and continuous monitoring across our tech stack (AWS, GitHub, Google Workspace, etc.) mean we’re not scrambling to gather screenshots and logs every time an auditor asks for something—it’s already there and kept up to date in real time. The pre-built control mappings for frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 42001 also saved us a lot of time by clarifying what evidence ties to which requirement. On top of that, the dashboard makes it easy to see at a glance which controls are passing or failing, so we can address issues before they turn into audit findings rather than reacting afterward.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

What I dislike about Vanta is that some of the automated checks can be overly rigid or throw false positives, which then forces a manual review just to confirm a control is actually fine. Pricing can also feel steep as you add more integrations or frameworks, and it isn’t always clear or transparent upfront. A few integrations are also shallower than I expected: they’ll flag an issue, but they don’t always provide enough context to resolve it without digging into the underlying system yourself. Customer support has been hit or miss depending on who picks up the ticket, and the UI—while generally clean—can start to feel cluttered once you’re managing multiple frameworks at the same time.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta addresses the manual, time-intensive compliance work that used to take up a huge amount of our team’s time—collecting evidence, tracking controls, and getting ready for audits. By automating continuous monitoring and evidence collection across our systems, it has freed up our security and engineering teams to focus on real security work instead of chasing screenshots and logs for auditors. It’s also helped us stay audit-ready throughout the year rather than scrambling in the weeks leading up to an audit, which has reduced stress and cut down on last-minute fire drills. On top of that, having a single source of truth for our compliance posture makes it much easier to respond to security questionnaires from prospects and customers quickly, and that has helped speed up our sales cycles.

 ### 30. Fast, Reliable, Expensive, and Easy Document Reviews with Helpful Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eugene C. | Senior Security Compliance Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I really like how easy it is to review all documents and controls. The integrations are very useful and give time back to my team. The pricing is very high, though, which makes it hard to sell to smaller customers. That being said, it does the job extremely well. The app itself is always fast and reliable. The automated alerts on controls is very useful. Support is very quick to help

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Honestly no real downsides. the automation can get a little aggressive, but better safe than sorry.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving the issue of standing up compliance programs from scratch. It allows us to significantly reduce our hours taken on each customer

 ### 31. Automates Compliance, Enhances Security Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sonu S. | Senior Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I use Vanta to ensure that our product meets security and compliance requirements while keeping product release on schedule. It gives me visibility into the organization's compliance status for frameworks such as SOC2 and ISO 27001, which allows me to coordinate with engineering, security, and compliance teams. I like the continuous monitoring feature the most, as Vanta doesn't just check compliance during audit season but continuously monitors connected systems such as cloud infrastructure, identity providers, and endpoint management. If a new employee's laptop encryption is disabled or critical security settings fall out of compliance, Vanta automatically flags the issue and assigns the appropriate task. Continuous monitoring automatically checks our cloud infrastructure, user access, devices, and security controls around the clock. Instead of waiting for audits, Vanta immediately alerts us to compliance issues, allowing my team to resolve them quickly. This keeps us audit ready, reduces manual efforts, minimizes security risks, and gives me confidence that our product remains compliant as it evolves. Setting up Vanta was easy for us.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

There's not a major improvement needed for Vanta, but I would like to see improvement. Configuring the platform for complex environments can take time, especially for organizations using many custom systems. Also, some compliance checks still require manual evidence because they are not fully automated, so these need to be automated first.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vanta to automate compliance management, reducing audit prep time and improving team collaboration. Its continuous monitoring keeps us audit-ready, minimizing security risks and manual efforts, while providing confidence in our compliance with frameworks like SOC2 and ISO 27001.

 ### 32. Streamlines Cloud Compliance with Real-Time Monitoring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shiv S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

As a cloud security engineer, I really appreciate Vanta for its ability to continuously monitor our AWS and Azure environments for compliance and security risks. I check Vanta's dashboard daily to review failed controls and coordinate remediations, which saves me a lot of time compared to manual checks. The integration with platforms like GitHub and endpoint management tools is smooth, allowing for automatic evaluation of security controls such as MFA, encryption, access permissions, and device compliance. I love the feature of continuous monitoring; if anyone creates an AWS resource that doesn't meet our security policy, Vanta detects it automatically and flags it, alerting me so I can address it before it becomes a security risk. It also helps in identifying gaps in real time, centralizes visibility, and reduces manual preparation for audits, which lowers operational costs and enhances regulatory compliance.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I would like to see improvement in some compliance controls which require manual evidence or policy reviews because it cannot be fully automated. Also, organizations which require cloud environment may need additional configuration or supplemental tools to monitor specialized security requirements.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vanta to monitor our AWS and Azure for compliance risks, integrating it with tools to automate evaluations. It solves maintaining compliance at scale, reduces manual audits and operational costs, and improves regulatory compliance by identifying gaps in real time.

 ### 33. Vanta Makes Security & Compliance Onboarding Effortless for New Hires

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carley H. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

From an HR and People Operations standpoint, Vanta has made the security and compliance side of onboarding genuinely manageable. New hires get auto-enrolled into the security training and agent install workflow as soon as they're added to our HRIS, which means I'm not chasing people down on Day 1 to complete their compliance items, it just runs in the background. The training is short, well-designed, and doesn't make new hires feel like they're being lectured, which matters when you're trying to make Week 1 feel welcoming, not bureaucratic.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The security training itself is short and well-designed, which matters more than people realize. New hires don't dread it, and that keeps Week 1 feeling welcoming rather than bureaucratic. For our SOC 2 work, the evidence collection happening in the background means audit prep isn't a fire drill, it's a side effect of normal operations.
One small friction point worth naming: new hires unfamiliar with MDM-style agents occasionally get confused by the install flow on Day 1. I've solved this with a one-line heads-up in the welcome email, but it's worth building into your onboarding comms from the start.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Onboarding compliance ran on chase-and-remind. Before Vanta, getting new hires through security training and device compliance meant manually assigning training, sending reminder Slacks, and pinging IT to confirm the agent was installed. Through our Rippling integration, Vanta now auto-enrolls new hires the moment they're added to our HRIS. Security training is assigned automatically, the agent install prompt fires on Day 1, and I can see completion status in a single dashboard. The benefit is concrete: my Day 1 checklist for new hires is shorter, nothing falls through the cracks, and I stopped being the bottleneck on compliance items I shouldn't be touching manually.

 ### 34. Powerful Compliance Tool with Lengthy Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Riyaz A. | Human Resources Specialist, Outsourcing/Offshoring, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I truly appreciate Vanta because it automatically runs over a thousand tests every single hour to ensure our files are locked safely, employee background checks are completed, and only the right people have access to data. I like that Vanta works by plugging directly into all our digital tools such as cloud storage, work emails, and employee management systems. Once connected, it automatically scans the system and sends alerts if something feels wrong. Before Vanta, it was a nightmare to manually copy-paste data and track security compliance and regulatory needs. Vanta has resolved this chaos by automatically scanning the system and putting all the security requirements into an easy-to-comply checklist.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The setup takes time as we have to manually click through and fix configuration settings for days together.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I appreciate Vanta for running thousands of tests hourly, ensuring file security, employee background checks, and data access. It integrates with our tools, scans for issues, and sends alerts. Vanta simplifies compliance with a checklist, ending manual chaos, and ensuring security needs are met.

 ### 35. Continuous Monitoring Keeps Us Audit-Ready

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tribhuvan S. | IT Administrator - Security Compliance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

The feature I like the most is its continuous monitoring. Instead of waiting until an audit to discover issues, it alerts me immediately if a device becomes non-compliant or if multi-factor authentication is disabled. I also like the centralized dashboard because it gives me a clear view of my organization's overall security and compliance status. It significantly reduces the time I spend on repetitive compliance tasks and manual evidence collection, and it eliminates the need to gather screenshots and documentation from multiple systems before every audit. It simplifies access reviews and policy tracking, which lets my IT team focus more on strengthening infrastructure and supporting employees. The automated monitoring helps us identify security gaps early, reducing operational risk and improving overall compliance. As a real example, during a quarterly access review, Vanta generated an alert that a recently onboarded engineer did not have MFA enabled on their Google Workspace and flagged the control as non-compliant within a few hours, so I contacted the employee, had them enforce MFA through Okta, and verified the change in Vanta. It provides alerts and clear remediation guidance that help me review and resolve compliance issues quickly and keep us audit ready. It's easy to use, and the initial setup was easy. I also use it with Jira for remediation tracking and Slack for notifications.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Vanta is easy to use, but some of the advanced settings and integrations require technical knowledge to configure correctly. Certain alerts can also generate extra investigation work before I can tell whether they're genuine compliance issues. And some of the reporting features lack the level of detail I need for executive presentations.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vanta to cut down time on repetitive compliance tasks and manual evidence collection, so I no longer gather screenshots from multiple systems before audits. It simplifies access reviews and policy tracking, and its automated monitoring helps us spot security gaps early, reducing operational risk and keeping us audit ready.

 ### 36. Vanta Saves time - Making Compliance Management More Efficient

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

What I like best about Vanta is how much time it saves... It takess lot of the manual work out of compliance by automating evidence collection and monitoring, which makes staying audit-ready much easier. I also like that it gives us a clear and professional way to showcase Fenergo's security and compliance posture through the Trust Center, helping build trust with customers and prospects..

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Vanta has been really useful overall, but I think some areas could be more flexible. There are times when workflows don't quite match how we operate, and it can take a bit of digging to understand why a test has failed or what action is needed. More customization and clearer guidance would help.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta is helping solve a lot of the administrative burden that comes with managing compliance. Instead of spending time chasing evidence, tracking control ownership, or preparing for audits manually, much of that information is collected and monitored automatically.

For me, that means less time on repetitive tasks and more & moree time focusing on actual compliance and security improvements. It also gives better visibility into our overall compliance posture and makes it easier to demonstrate trust and assurance to customers and auditors when needed...

 ### 37. Automated Compliance That Cut Our Audit Time in Half

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anubhav T. | Senior Security and Compliance Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I use Vanta for automating security compliance and to monitor our cloud structure. It easily integrates with systems like AWS, Google Workspace, GitHub, and endpoint management tools to collect audit evidence, monitor security controls, and identify compliance gaps wherever necessary, and it simplifies audit preparation for frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001. The feature I like the most is the automation it provides. Instead of manually collecting evidence and checking security controls, Vanta continuously performs these tasks in the background, which significantly reduces audit preparation time. It gives me a centralized, real-time view of compliance status, failed security checks, and remediation tasks across all integrated systems. During a SOC 2 audit, Vanta automatically collected evidence from AWS and other similar platforms throughout the year, so instead of spending several weeks gathering screenshots and access logs manually, everything was already organized in one dashboard. We completed auditor requests within days and reduced audit preparation time by nearly half while improving accuracy and transparency. It automatically checks controls such as MFA enforcement, device encryption, employee onboarding, user access reviews, and cloud security configuration through integrated systems. Failed checks generate alerts and remediation tasks for the appropriate teams, and this continuous automation keeps compliance up to date and ensures we are always audit ready throughout the year. I like the continuous evidence collection, which ensures evidence is always current, significantly reduces repetitive administrative work, and minimizes human error. IT security has benefited the most, since it reduces their manual workload now that it's automated and reduces human errors. There is a 60-70% reduction in audit time, we reduced compliance-related manual tasks, responded to auditors faster, and identified security gaps much earlier through continuous monitoring. It collaborates well between teams, hands off the work smoothly, and the remediation of tasks is well organized with easy transitions. The initial setup was moderately easy for us.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Even though it's highly effective, I find the customization and reporting capabilities somewhat limited for organizations with unique compliance requirements. Some integrations require additional manual configuration. And for complex environments, I need extra tools to get complete visibility and meet specialized security or regulatory needs.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Vanta I had to manage security compliance manually. Now it automates evidence collection, continuously monitors security controls, and identifies gaps for audits like SOC 2 and ISO 27001. It cuts our audit time by 60-70%, reduces manual work and human errors, and helps maintain customer trust.

 ### 38. Vanta Centralizes Compliance: Clean Dashboard, Automated Integrations & Continuous Monitoring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

What I like best about Vanta is how it brings security compliance into one organized, easy-to-manage platform. The dashboard is clean and intuitive, making it simple to see which security controls are complete and which ones still require attention. Instead of tracking evidence manually, the automated integrations collect information from many of the tools our team already uses, which saves a significant amount of time and reduces repetitive work.

I also appreciate the continuous monitoring features because they help identify potential issues early instead of waiting until an audit. That gives our team more confidence that we're staying compliant throughout the year rather than scrambling before review time. The onboarding experience was straightforward, and the documentation made it easy to understand what each control required.

One benefit I didn't expect was how much easier collaboration became. Since evidence, tasks, and compliance progress are all centralized, everyone has visibility into what needs to be done without relying on long email threads or spreadsheets. Overall, Vanta has made the compliance process more efficient, transparent, and much less stressful.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

One area where Vanta could improve is making some of the compliance requirements more beginner-friendly. While the platform automates a lot of evidence collection, there are still controls that require manual interpretation, and it isn't always immediately clear what specific documentation is expected. More in-app examples or guided recommendations would help newer users complete these tasks with greater confidence.

As our organization connected more integrations, the amount of information in the dashboard increased significantly. Although it's comprehensive, it can sometimes feel overwhelming when trying to prioritize what needs immediate attention. Additional filtering, customizable views, or AI-powered prioritization could make the experience even more efficient.

Overall, these are usability improvements rather than major issues. The platform performs well and is reliable, but adding more contextual guidance and making navigation easier for first-time users would make an already strong product even better.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Vanta, keeping track of compliance requirements and collecting audit evidence was much more manual and time-consuming. Information was spread across different systems, making it difficult to know what was complete and what still needed attention. Vanta centralized those tasks by automatically collecting evidence through integrations, continuously monitoring security controls, and organizing compliance work in a single dashboard.

This has made it much easier to stay on top of ongoing compliance instead of scrambling before an audit. The automated reminders and real-time visibility into outstanding tasks have improved collaboration across the team because everyone can see progress in one place. Overall, Vanta has reduced administrative work, helped us identify potential issues earlier, and made the compliance process more organized and predictable, allowing us to spend more time on higher-value security initiatives instead of repetitive manual tracking.

 ### 39. Great Compliance Structure, but Add-On Pricing for Basic Features

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

It gives structure when going for certifications (ie ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR) in complex business environments.
When setup properly, it gives a good view of progress towards framework compliance.
Questionnaire automation looks promising to safe time filling those out.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The pre-made frameworks have a lot of overlapping similar tests & controls. It would make the process of collecting evidence more streamlined if these were combined better.
The automated tests look promising but in practice the auditors have still been requesting documented evidence that should have been covered by these automated tests.
Features that seem to me should be part of the basic package, such as filtering on a product for automated questionnaire answering, are charged as additional packages.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly organizing evidence to comply with frameworks and attain certifications. Also the risk management tool is useful to build an interactive risk management file and assign owners.

 ### 40. Streamlined ISO Compliance and Vendor Risk Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I use Vanta as a compliance toolset for ISO 27001 and appreciate how it consolidates all tests, SLAs, and necessary proof for our audits in one place—not just for the yearly audit cycle, but also as a great daily tool for operations and traction. I like that Vanta makes vendor risk management very easy by analyzing all documents like SOC and ISO reports, and provides a well-thought-out questionnaire feature that we can send to vendors. The AI that automatically fills in forms and helps identify risks and findings early is incredibly helpful. It's also fantastic for auto-populating answers from major companies like AWS and Google using their own trust pages and reports. Additionally, the initial setup of Vanta was straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

A lot of policy templates are not well suited for Sweden. For example, the Code of Conduct includes unnecessary points like not bringing firearms into the office, which is not relevant to Swedish laws. There are also some policy templates that conflict with each other, and it's hard to find where and when. We used AI outside of Vanta to identify a lot of errors like that.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta centralizes our ISO 27001 audit needs, making daily operations smoother. It simplifies vendor risk management by analyzing documents and using AI to auto-fill forms, helping us identify risks early.

 ### 41. Comprehensive GRC Solution with Stellar Policy Builder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Purnima S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I find Vanta to be a complete solution for GRC related frameworks, which is really helpful. One of the aspects I like most about Vanta is the policy builder. It saves a lot of time for any organization that needs to establish compliance from scratch. It is particularly useful in writing and creating policies specific to the framework and organization. The time saving is huge. Additionally, the support team was really quick in resolving initial teething issues with tool integrations.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Vanta has lots of automations and AI, which is good for big organizations; however, startups find it time-consuming and expensive. Entry-level pricing could be reduced while blocking the complex automations for smaller startups.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta solves GRC challenges like vendor integration, cloud configuration, and risk management. The policy builder saves a lot of time in creating compliance policies specific to frameworks and organizations.

 ### 42. Easy-to-Use Audits in One Place with Solid Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rogerio G. | SVP Platform Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Vanta is really easy to use and integrates well with the tools we already have. The best part is that we don't need to go back and forth with auditors using giant spreadsheets anymore. Everything is in one place. Uploading evidence is simple and saves us a lot of time during audits.

Performance has been solid for us. Our workload isn't huge so we haven't really pushed it to the limits, but we have no complaints there. Support and onboarding were great too, the app is pretty intuitive so we didn't need much hand-holding to get started.

On pricing, it's a bit on the higher side, especially if you're a startup going through your first audit. That said, the ROI is definitely there once you see how much time and effort it saves you.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Some user flows are hidden deep inside specific pages and not easy to find from the main menu. I get that they want to keep the menu clean, but it takes too many clicks to go from a failing test all the way to, say, removing a computer from an employee that left the company. And if you go directly to the computers page, it's not obvious that there's an unassigned computer sitting there. A bit more visibility on those things would help a lot.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're a small company without a dedicated security team, and we needed to get SOC 2 compliant. That's where Vanta really helps. Normal engineers and operations people who don't have deep expertise in security controls can use Vanta and trust it to guide them through the whole audit process. It makes something that feels overwhelming actually manageable for a small team like ours.

 ### 43. Always-On Audit Monitoring That Makes Issues Easy to Spot

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenna S. | Security and Compliance Engineering Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I like that I can do my internal audit in it basically daily. It's always monitoring and it's so easy to know when things are off.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Right now their AI agent takes forever to load anything, remediations, questions, etc. Their AI features are extremely slow that you click out of Vanta and forget about it for an hour.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's constantly monitoring for me so I don't have to have an associate or senior compliance person looking at things daily. I can just look at Vanta and see what's out of wack and flag the right teams as a team of one for compliance.

 ### 44. Intuitive, Easy to Use with Reliable Integrations and Helpful Evidence Checks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristian S. | Security Compliance Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Intuitive and easy to use. The AI assistant helps verify the quality of evidence submissions. It also offers wide, reliable integrations with many tools. Controls are described in a holistic way, with good examples and, in some cases, templates.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The AI assistant feels pretty basic as it mostly flags obvious missing items and doesn’t really go deep. The access management module is also very limited. On top of that, there’s a lot of upsell pressure, since you have to upgrade the entire plan just to unlock what should be basic features.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta helps me manage our ISMS in a structured and efficient way by centralizing compliance work and automating many controls through integrations, which significantly reduces the amount of manual evidence collection and repetitive tasks I need to do.

 ### 45. All-in-one for managing SOC2: centralize audits, policies, and integrations seamlessly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

It is a tool that consolidates everything you need to manage a SOC2 system: procedures and policies, audits, user management, and equipment monitoring. Having everything centralized greatly streamlines the audit process. Additionally, the interface is easy to handle, integrates well with our stack, and being a market standard, external auditors work seamlessly with the system.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

It is not particularly cheap; its price is high, but it is true that it has become a standard.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It greatly facilitates the audit and certification process. Additionally, it creates a very good trust center for clients. It centralizes all documentation, procedures, and policies, and also allows for centralizing evidence. On the other hand, it monitors both the equipment and the users. Overall, it is an all-in-one solution, ready to tackle the annual audit.

 ### 46. Clear Compliance Visibility and Automated Evidence Collection with Vanta

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

The most helpful part of Vanta is the visibility it provides into our compliance and security posture. It clearly shows what needs attention, automates a lot of the evidence collection, and helps our team stay on top of requirements without slowing down day-to-day work.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The least helpful part of Vanta is that it can occasionally feel overwhelming when there are a lot of flagged items or tasks to review. Once everything is set up properly, it becomes much easier to manage, but the initial learning curve can take some time.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta is helping us streamline compliance and security monitoring. It reduces the amount of manual work needed to track controls, collect evidence, and prepare for audits. This benefits us by saving time, keeping our team organized, and giving us more confidence that we are staying compliant.

 ### 47. SOC2, ISO, and General Security, Great Product and Team!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter O. | Chief Software Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Vanta automatically tracks compliance with many controls in cloud environments. They also respond to enhancement requests and deliver. They have continued to support us as we add additional accreditations.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Minor point. Originally, lack of agent monitoring support for windows servers. This has been addressed however. There isn't much we don't like!

**Recommendations to others considering Vanta:**

Sign up well in advance of your SOC2 date to get up to speed. Vanta uncovers a lot of items that don't seem obvious and improve security tremendously.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking all SOC2, ISO27001, and HIPAA controls. Vanta has also greatly improved overall security posture and eased the paperwork burden.

 ### 48. Effortless Auditing and Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Praise E. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I use Vanta primarily for auditing purposes, and I appreciate how it centralizes a lot of our assets. It efficiently shows us the vulnerabilities and risks we need to tackle while also tracking our progress in preparing for audits such as ISO. One thing I really like is how easy it feels to navigate. Additionally, having third-party vendors who also use Vanta enhances our ability to collaborate easily. The initial setup was pretty easy as we had a representative guide us through it, which was beneficial.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I dont have any complaints so far as our use is limited however I haven't had any major interruptions navigating the app

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta centralizes our assets, highlights vulnerabilities and risks, and tracks our progress for audits like ISO. It eases collaboration with vendors due to its use by third parties.

 ### 49. Instills Confidence with Compliance Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonas D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I like the portal for clients the most. The fact that you're using Vanta instantly built trust because they know that you're investing in compliance, and it's easy for the clients to review the controls and documents. It's easy for us to centralize all compliance & security documentation. It also helps our client because they can access it on a single location or a single platform.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I think our experience with auditors who are using Vanta is still switching between Google Docs and Vanta for the actual policies and documents. So I'm not sure if there could be some improvements there. Make it more centralized.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vanta to track our ISO and SOC compliance, centralizing all compliance security documents. This simplifies auditor reviews and builds client trust with a single portal for all compliance information.

 ### 50. Vanta’s Automation Makes Compliance Monitoring Effortless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vihar S. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

What I like best about Vanta is its automation. It simplifies compliance processes by continuously monitoring security controls, collecting evidence automatically, and reducing the manual effort required for audits. The centralized dashboard also makes it easy to track compliance status and identify issues quickly.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Sometimes it sends false-positive alerts.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta helps automate security and compliance management by continuously monitoring systems, collecting audit evidence, and tracking policy requirements in one place. This significantly reduces the time and effort required to prepare for audits, improves visibility into compliance status, and helps us maintain compliance more efficiently with fewer manual processes.
