**What do you like best about Vanillasoft?**

VanillaSoft has been a great tool for our Engagement Centers to use, thanks to its ability to segment and filter in real time. Being able to manage contacts ourselves has made us faster and more efficient when we’re asked to run special campaigns, and it also helps us react quickly to events happening in the world, ensuring we’re contacting the best people possible.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

Some of my main pain points with VanillaSoft are the lack of AI compared to other systems in the industry. Our partners are consistently asking about AI and how it can help, and within our scope of work in Engagement Centers, it feels like AI is still a long way off compared to competitors.

We’ve also had a lot of recent issues with the VoIP system, which has led to significant downtime and a loss in revenue. Lastly, over the past year, customer support has been slower to reply or assist. When I first became a VS user, support was one of the best things about VanillaSoft, so it’s been really disappointing to see that decline over the past year.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VanillaSoft is our primary tool for engagement efforts with our partners, alumni, donors, and friends. It supports multi-touchpoint cadences, provides real-time reporting, and offers user-friendly, intuitive routing capabilities.

**What do you like best about Vanillasoft?**

I use VanillaSoft as our CRM at work, and as a developer, I appreciate that it has an API which makes it easy to integrate with our app. I like its straightforward UI, which helps us route leads, manage contact history, and handle text and email efficiently. The ability to integrate other apps by syncing data to and from VanillaSoft is also very valuable, as it serves as the source of truth for our leads.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

The query builder and routing interfaces being UI only is very awkward. I want to be able to type in an expression like you can do in JIRA. For filtering and sorting of the queue, the same goes for the Contact Management query builder interface. There's no advanced version where you can just type in expressions.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use VanillaSoft to manage contact history, route leads, and handle text and email. It integrates other apps, syncing data so it serves as the lead source of truth, which is convenient.

**What do you like best about Vanillasoft?**

I like how quickly VanillaSoft helps me sift through more than a hundred people that I need to make calls to. It's just really convenient to punch a call button, do the result coding, and send an email. It's quicker than having to manually punch in numbers and look up the records in another CRM because everything is available on the user interface. The features are helpful because when I'm speaking with a prospect or donor, I can quickly see where they made their last gift and how much it was. It helps me think quickly on my feet and ask for a larger amount. It also helps me see buyer information like what they're interested in and their history with the organization. Additionally, it allows me to see when they were last contacted and the comments made on their last contact, which really helps me do my work efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

Integrating the reports with the CRM that I use, that would be great. Because right now, the reports just come separate and then have to manually enter them into the CRM.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use VanillaSoft to quickly update prospects and donors about our organization. It's great for efficiently managing calls and emails, with everything available on the user interface. It helps me quickly access donor history, allowing me to make informed asks.

I've been using Vanilla Soft for over 3 years every  day  and have had consistently positive experiences. The platform is incredibly user-friendly with intuitive navigation that makes daily operations smooth and efficient.

VanillaSoft is a user-friendly CRM designed with simplicity in mind. Its buttons and features are self-explanatory, eliminating unnecessary complexity. It’s easy to navigate, beginner-friendly, and allows users to get started quickly without a steep learning curve.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

In my case, I’m not entirely sure if the issue is related to our facility’s internet connection, but I occasionally experience some latency when disposing of calls or saving updates while editing lead information. However, this happens less frequently, and it could possibly be due to our network connection rather than the CRM itself.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VanillaSoft helps solve the challenge of managing callbacks and organizing the sales pipeline efficiently. Since I work in a lead generation account, one of the biggest benefits is how easy it is to schedule callback dates and times. The system accurately reminds and brings up callbacks at the scheduled time, helping ensure that no leads are missed. It also supports US time zones, which makes it easier for us to manage and build our pipeline while working with different schedules.

**What do you like best about Vanillasoft?**

I really enjoy working with their onboarding team. They have been there with us every step of the way to help us understand the tool and work to make sure we are using it in the best way possible. The reporting features are also nice, but we definitely could find better ways to use them. I also like the student facing side of the product. It is very easy for them to interface with.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

Much of what VanillaSoft was built to do doesn't fully match with how we intend to use it. Our use case is a bit of a unicorn example, but it means some of the features don't work well with what we need them to do. Additionally, the integration of the product to our CRM has been a bit more cumbersome than we were initially led to believe it would be.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VanillaSoft helped us to transition from a very antiquated software to a much more dynamic product during a time that we really needed a product upgrade. The functionality of their software works well and has only had a couple of technical issues.

**What do you like best about Vanillasoft?**

I have only been using VS for a month.  It seems easy enough to use but so far, the adaptation of my company's proprietary CRM does not as yet approach the ease of use and functionality of the old CRM. Perhaps this will get better over time.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

The initial training used the standard training guide and quizzes supplied by VS.  This training method was ineffective and inefficient because it required tons of reading and quiz taking without actually using the app. Using common interactive video training on the actual implementation is far superior.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The only problem it has solved as far as I'm concerned as an end user is that transitioning to VS addressed the company's problem with the lack of the availability of cost effective support for ongoing development and maintenance of the old proprietary CRM application

Customer Success is extremely supportive and responsive whenever I run into issues, and they’re quick to help resolve them.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

Have experienced frequent platform bugs and glitches, often take a significant amount of time to get resolved. Over the last year or so, it also seems like a lot of the Support staff has been replaced, and the current team hasn’t been as helpful as the previous one. Since the switch to the Cloudli telephony carrier earlier this year, we’ve had to change our workflows quite a bit, and we’ve also lost much of our autonomy when using the platform. I also wish the database could be more searchable/exportable across all projects.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I appreciate the new features they have been adding, such as Call Transcription and Call Scoring. Very helpful from a Management perspective when running a large team of SDRs.

I use VanillaSoft for work and find it to be an easy-to-use and reliable platform. It helps streamline our workflow effectively, allowing us to keep track of each customer and contact them directly from the same platform. This also helps in maintaining information for internal purposes while keeping track of daily tasks and time. The platform is an all-in-one solution which is valuable for improving efficiency and staying organized for each project and campaign we offer. Customer care is amazing, always responding promptly to any issue, like the phone connection issue we had which they fixed quickly. The initial setup was easy and our IT department found it helpful.

The only issue we had was a VanillaSoft phone connection and showing agents unavailable but it was fixed promptly after contacting customer care.

VanillaSoft has significantly improved my productivity by streamlining outreach and follow-up tasks in one platform. The queue-based lead management system is one of the most valuable features, as it automatically prioritizes contacts and eliminates the time spent deciding who to call next. This allows me to focus more on conversations and less on administrative work.

The integrated calling and email tools make it easy to communicate with prospects without switching between multiple applications. I also appreciate the detailed reporting and activity tracking features, which help me monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.

One unexpected benefit has been how much easier it is to stay organized during high-volume calling campaigns. Automated reminders, call notes, and follow-up scheduling ensure that no lead falls through the cracks. Overall, VanillaSoft has helped me manage my workflow more efficiently, increase outreach consistency, and save several hours each week that would otherwise be spent on manual tracking and organization.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

While VanillaSoft is very effective for managing outreach and follow-up workflows, there are a few areas that could be improved. The user interface can feel somewhat dated compared to newer CRM and sales engagement platforms, and certain settings can take time to learn for new users.

Reporting is useful, but customizing reports and extracting specific insights can sometimes be less intuitive than expected. Additionally, when working with large volumes of records, navigating between screens or updating information may require more clicks than necessary.

That said, these issues have not significantly impacted my ability to use the platform effectively, and the overall productivity benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

VanillaSoft solves the challenge of managing a large volume of outreach and follow-up activities efficiently. Before using the platform, it was easy to lose track of contacts, miss follow-ups, or spend too much time organizing call lists. The queue-based system automatically prioritizes records and guides me to the next task, allowing me to focus on conversations rather than administrative work.

For my role, this has improved productivity by helping me handle more calls in less time while ensuring that every interaction is properly documented. Features such as call notes, follow-up scheduling, and activity tracking keep information organized and make it easier to maintain consistent communication. As a result, I am able to work more efficiently, stay organized, and provide a better experience for the people I contact.

**What do you like best about Vanillasoft?**

It is a pretty straightforward interface. Easy to navigate my way through it and manage it daily .

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

It's a very unreliable platform. It crashes regularly. It often freezes up. It doesn't time keep the way it should. Sometimes you'll click to look at your worked hours and it will tell you it's unavailable. Then you click again and it's a blank white screen. The response from customer service is usualy the same--clean out your cache--but it's always sort of working poorly.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't think it does anything outside of the norm for a basic stripped down crm. Perhaps my organization doesn't use it to its full potential, but given that it's as buggy as it is in it's stripped down execution, I'd be afraid to get deeper in the weeds. Just yesterday it sent a call result to the wrong client. That was a first, but unpredictible things happen alo the time with vanillasoft

**What do you like best about Vanillasoft?**

I use VanillaSoft as a CRM for students, and I like how it carefully organizes touch points to keep both students and me on track for starting school. I like that you can set timed reminders and events way out. It's really useful because even if I have 20 things to do, a reminder will prompt me to complete a task that I might otherwise forget. Also, I found the initial setup to be extremely easy.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

The email through the app doesn't notify you when the app email has been responded to. I'm honestly not even sure it's sent. We need to be able to follow the lifecycle of an email sent through the app, like when it's delivered, read, and responded to, or if it's ignored.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VanillaSoft organizes student touch points, keeping us on track. It lets me set reminders for tasks so they don't get forgotten.

I like using VanillaSoft as a CRM tool for cold calling because it eliminates time wasted through its queue-based lead management, ensuring there are no wasted leads. It's user-friendly and easy to navigate, making it simple to result every lead right after a call. The access to call recordings is great, and the initial setup is as easy as 123.

I think, some bug issues are occurring more often lately, just lag issues I guess.

The pricing is very friendly and makes it doable for a small team to acquire a calling software. The system is robust and has a lot to offer. Unfortunately, we don't have enough data to make the best of Vanilla Soft.

The interface is not that friendly and looks outdated. While our AM was dedicated and responsive, we found the onboarding/training overwhelming at times.

Before using Vanilla Soft, we didn't have a secure and effective place for students to access the calling pool. Vanilla Soft has proven to be a friendly alternative for callers to access data and create follow-up comms.

I like VanillaSoft's disposition options and the comment section for taking notes. The timestamps for every call are helpful as they provide a paper trail if a prospect 'forgets' a conversation. The notes being saved and transposed into Google Calendar when integrated make appointment setting and follow-ups a breeze. The initial setup was cake, indicating ease of use.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

VanillaSoft could be better at filtering for bogus names and phone numbers that have all the same numbers. Sometimes there are things on there that obviously shouldn't be, and I experience the occasional disconnect from phone calls without explanation.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VanillaSoft handles asking for PPI, demographic info, and prevents calls to my personal cell. It eases appointment setting and follow-ups by saving notes to Google Calendar. Timestamps help with lead attrition, acting as a paper trail if a prospect forgets.

I feel like VanillaSoft is easier to use and it operates our calls and makes our tasks easier. It basically solves our problem without having to do a lot of manual work. I like how straightforward and simple it is to use, and how compliant it is. There's almost never any issues with the calls, so it's good.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

I think it should be that the calls don't get glitched out. Sometimes the information gets mixed up or the calls glitch, or the other party is unable to hear us or we're unable to hear them.

VanillaSoft makes calling for our call center easy, with seamless operation and direct calling without issues. It simplifies tasks, eliminates manual work, and is straightforward and compliant, resulting in almost no call issues.

I like VanillaSoft's automatic feature to send out text and emails.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

It's super laggy. It's super slow. It sometimes goes off at the last second. The connection to clients is sometimes not stable either. The setup took a few days, and the support didn't really know what they were doing. I had to connect with a supervisor who fixed it in two minutes.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use VanillaSoft for making dials to clients, and I like its automatic feature to send out texts and emails.

**What do you like best about Vanillasoft?**

I use VanillaSoft for keeping track of my clients and follow-up timings. It prompts me to follow-up with clients at the appropriate time or when I have asked the system to remind me. Initial setup was not difficult.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

The advanced features are very complicated to use. Setting up automatic texting and automatic emails is pretty difficult. I can't pull in my personal calendar into my HealthMarkets calendar so all appointments are on one calendar.  Therefore,  I don't use the calendar link in VanillaSoft for my clients to make appts.  I have subscribed to Calendly for this. I thought VanillaSoft was going to provide that ability, but it doesn't.   An additional dislike - is the duplicate client entries.  I constantly have to merge to clean that up, and they just keep happening.  So there are still some glitches. Honestly, I would not recommend it at this point.

VanillaSoft prompts me to follow-up with clients at the appropriate time, helping me manage follow-up timings effectively.

I like the data entry software, it's easy to process payments and update alumni information. The UI is easy to navigate after maybe about a week. I also love the integration with VSconnect to call alumni.

I dislike how slow it can be sometimes performance wise depending on where you're running it, and sometimes support can be wishy washy when Vanillasoft goes down.

Vanillasoft solved the issue of sorting alumni and their information, having to update it, and having two separate calling platforms.

They improved the data routing and filtering process to be even better.  It does take a few more steps but much more accurate and more options to be able to target exactly what you need to that day.  I also love how it shows you if your email was opened and when.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

I can't always get what I need for a detailed report to send to a client.  I would like to be able to tell it exactly what fields I would like put into a report. Maybe I just haven't figured out how to do it yet.

**Recommendations to others considering Vanillasoft:**

I would highly recommend this product.  It literally does everything that I need to track prospecting.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Call routing is a benefit we use to actually close deals with our clients.  Because we are able to generate an informational email to prospects on behalf of our clients and then are able to set a date for that record to come back into the front of rotating is key for us and our clients.  Also it automatically rotates the record to the front when the prospect has opened the email.  Also being able to have extensive information on the home screen for our callers saves time as well.  The ease of use and help features are amazing.

I love having all my notes, contact info, and contacts in one place, which makes it incredibly easy to find all the information I need. The ease of use is a major plus for me, as it simplifies my workday. Setting it up was also very easy, which was definitely appreciated.

VanillaSoft helps keep outreach organized and gives structure to the day—especially for calling and following up. The cadence/queue-style workflow is useful for staying consistent, and I can see the potential for improving productivity once you’re fully set up and trained.

The interface feels a bit clunky and not very intuitive at first, so the learning curve is real. It was also rolled out right before AEP, which is the busiest time of year, so there wasn’t enough runway to get comfortable and configure it properly. Some steps feel like extra clicks, and it’s hard to build momentum when you’re learning it under pressure.

It’s mainly helping with sales engagement—keeping leads and follow-ups from slipping through the cracks and giving me a structured workflow for outreach. the detailed statistics it gives about the number of calls one makes per hour, it is easy to keep track of performance. It updates data about speed of calling relatively fast. Although my employer pays for Vanillasoft, I do think it is financially worth it. It also organizes information very well and makes it easy to locate necessary information.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

It has crashed for my company several times, in which calls do not go through. It also tracks someone's performance even when they their computer is off if they have not logged out. However, my colleges were able to get in contact with support from Villanova soft to fix the issues, and the VanillaSoft team communicated effectively with us.

It is making the process of organizing the data of my school's donors and their information easy and accessible. It works well with my Mac computer's features to allow me to easy call donors.

As someone getting trained, I also found VanillaSoft pretty easy to navigate and traverse.

I'm not really happy with the software and UI issues I'm experiencing, especially affecting the supervisors of my team. There are a lot of technological issues with VanillaSoft lately. Features that used to work well, like email connectivity, aren't working anymore. The giving page is down, and the email connection to specific user information is also down. This means we have to write down all the emails manually, which is a hassle. I find these issues incredibly inconvenient.

I like how I can manage an entire team under VanillaSoft. We can all manage the same leads and the same pool without anybody interfering. I use VanillaSoft for lead management, to configure leads, schedule callbacks, and deal management. It's a really great platform. The organization and scheduling features are really great with callbacks, especially considering different time zones. It reverts back to you in your time zone and reminds you of the customers' time zones, which is pretty nice. The initial setup was super easy.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

I would say VS Connect a little bit. Sometimes it fails a little bit, but other than that, really nothing. I mean, it's an amazing app.

One of my favorite features is the ability to leave notes for each lead and result with a certain disposition, which really helps me follow up on each lead accurately. The initial setup was pretty easy, and I definitely recommend it, giving it a nine out of ten.

The auto-dial mechanism which saves time. I just have to click on the phone symbol and it automatically calls in the VS dialer. I find this very helpful because I do not have to copy paste the number into VS dialer all the time.

Sometimes it could be slow and if I do not engage for a couple minutes, then it freezes for a little but resumes again. But this short amount of time could be crucial when talking with people on the phone.

Vanillasoft shows me some very important information about the alumni who I need to call. It also keeps their information safe. Without it, we could not be able to see any information about our alumni and cannot communication with them when we have no information. There is a feature to send emails, which makes our work efficient as well.

I like the dispositions that VanillaSoft provides and also the calendar schedule feature. It makes it easy for me to book sales calls without double booking, and I know my availability as well as the client being able to book directly. Also, the initial setup of VanillaSoft was simple.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

Sometimes VS Connect has issues where I have to force quit multiple times on Mac OS for it to recognize my headset microphone or even my Mac's internal microphone. I know it's not my headset because it does it with every single microphone I use, and then after force closing multiple times it finally starts working.

VanillaSoft saves me from manually calling from my iPhone or uploading a CRM. It helps book sales calls without double booking and shows my availability while allowing clients to book directly.

It often stops working as intended out of nowhere without an easy fix, which requires losing money as the price for your service is high but we do not get the actual service. It is also not that easily intergratable with other things in our ecosystem precisely due to its slowness/bugs

None of the intelligent features really stood out to me, but overall, it’s still a helpful tool because it saves me from having to copy and paste numbers from the database.

I like that Vanillasoft is very user-friendly and is easy to login to. It connects well with the phone system and it's very fast. Pricing is better than other calling software out there. I learned how to use it quickly and the features are self-intuitive.

The interface looks a bit old and isn't the most visually aesthetic. Also it can be annoying when the master list runs out of people to call and we have to wait to switch campaigns. Finally, sometimes I have to try logging in multiple times before it signs me in.

Vanillasoft is the interface that our call center uses to call members of our university community. It's an efficient system and allows multiple people to call at the same time without lags. That allows us to reach lots of people and spread our message.

I can't easily see lists of my leads. I can't color coat it. It's quite expensive to onboarding new users. There should be some type of trial for new user.

VS Connect constantly down has my business losing thousands at time. Support can take days to resolve issues.

I like the fact that I am able to trach data, the fast customer support that I receive from the help desk. The SMS feature allows me to communicate with students in a proficient manner. the AI used in this software has made my experience a breeze.

nothing. the entire platform is a part of making my job easier.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some days the software is down, but corporate has been really good at hopping on the matter quick and fixing it for the company. Navigation of the platform is very smooth

I use VanillaSoft for sales and I find its customer support to be really efficient and quick. The support team is always available and they always have questions and answers to any problems that arise, making them very quick and efficient in resolving issues.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

Sometimes the same issue will come back again and be resolved again. The installment of the program was easy, but getting to the features to function properly was a little struggle.

I use VanillaSoft for sales. The customer support is always available and efficient, providing quick assistance when any problem arises.

It’s easy to use, and I was able to learn how to use it in just a few minutes.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

Sometimes I run into issues where it won’t transmit my voice from my headset, even though all the settings are correct. When that happens, I’ve had to uninstall and then reinstall the VS Connect dialer a couple of times to get it working again.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me organize my client and prospect list, and it makes it really easy to get a large number of dials in every day with minimal effort.

I like that VanillaSoft links appointments to my Google Calendar, making it easy to see what I have upcoming and keeping everything organized and timely. The initial setup was very easy, and overall, it works well.

I wish I could see a total list view of all my contacts.

I use VanillaSoft for organizing contacts in a cold call center. It helps with organization, cues up the next call, and links my appointments to Google Calendar, making it easy to see upcoming events and keeping everything organized and timely.

**What do you like best about Vanillasoft?**

I like how organized and structured VanillaSoft is, which makes my life easier due to its user-friendly nature. The dialing system is something I like a lot, and it really helps with my job. Also, it was fairly easy to set up initially.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

I definitely think the 'Angry' button should 100% NOT be next to the 'No contact' button. It used to not be anywhere near it; it used to be at the top but now it's at the bottom next to the angry button and now me and multiple colleagues accidentally hit 'angry' by accident when we are trying to hit 'no contact'.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VanillaSoft helps me filter my leads and makes my life easier with its user-friendly, organized structure.

The support team is always very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

The constant updates without being told about them. I don't mind the updates themselves, but the lack of communication costs a lot of time when trying to figure out why things are looking or working differently.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it a lot easier to contact constituents in one place, as well as keeping necessary information stored. I appreciate being able to do multiple forms of contact in one place such as email, phone call, and text.

Your point is well taken though and I will pass that along in case there are other things we can do to get notifications out!

**What do you like best about Vanillasoft?**

I really enjoy VanillaSoft's features and love the ability to view how many calls I make and how long each call lasts. The features that let me view my script, see caller information, and make calls at the same time are incredibly helpful for multitasking and getting work done efficiently. The call tracking feature is valuable as it allows me to review the quality of my work and the efficiency of my calls. The initial setup was also great.

**What do you dislike about Vanillasoft?**

There’s a lot of small glitches in which the script disappears.

**What problems is Vanillasoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having features that let me view my script and caller info while calling helps me multitask efficiently. Call tracking lets me review call quality and efficiency.
