"Fast AI Survey Insights, Though Integrations Are Missing"
4/5
What do you like best about Validata?

My favorite features in Validata are the prompt-driven survey builder and the built-in 12-layer AI analysis engine. As Operations Admin Specialist at Nova Plastic Manufacturing Group, I’m constantly juggling raw material scheduling, shop floor record keeping, and communication with our resin suppliers, so I don’t have half a day to spend building surveys or reading through pages of handwritten feedback. Instead of dragging and dropping every single question one by one, I just type a simple prompt describing what information I want to gather, and Validata drafts the full survey automatically. I only need to tweak wording to match our manufacturing context and add conditional logic so respondents only see relevant follow-up questions. A great example is the supplier feedback survey I ran last month to investigate repeated resin delivery delays. I typed in my requirements, and Validata built out the questionnaire quickly. I added conditional rules: if a vendor selected they had delivery scheduling issues, extra questions about carrier timelines and order specifications would pop up. I finished the whole survey in roughly 15 minutes. Before switching over from Typeform, building a similar survey would take me two hours. Once all submissions came in, the 12-layer AI analysis engine scanned all open-text replies. It pulled out common themes, linked each insight back to the original survey responses, and added confidence ratings. This lets our team easily separate widespread issues from isolated, one-off complaints. For that delivery survey, the AI quickly identified that carrier conflicts and confusion around our updated order templates were the two main pain points. This cut my manual review work from 4–5 hours reading and tagging each comment manually down to under an hour. I also rely heavily on the CSV export function. After we review the AI insights, I export all raw responses and drop the CSV into our production tracking spreadsheets. This preserves complete records for our production team. The basic setup was really simple, and our shop supervisors learned how to review the results after just a quick 20-minute walkthrough. These features together remove a massive admin burden and help us spot operational bottlenecks from suppliers and our in-house crew much faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Validata?

The main areas I hope Validata improves on are native software integrations and better handling of manufacturing-specific industry language, both of which add extra manual work for our small plastics manufacturing team at Nova Plastic Manufacturing Group. Right now, Validata’s app integrations haven’t launched yet, which means there is no automatic sync between Validata and our existing tools, including Insightly CRM and DocuWare. Every time we finish a survey, I have to manually export the CSV file, clean up the table formatting, and manually import the data separately into our vendor CRM and document management system. For shorter surveys with only a handful of shop floor staff responses, this manual export process is manageable. But when we run larger surveys with dozens of resin suppliers, the repetitive file handling starts to pile up. I’m already busy managing production schedules and material delivery logs, so this extra step creates more admin work. There is also a small risk of human error here. I could accidentally upload an older version of the CSV, mix up rows, or forget to upload the file entirely, which would delay our vendor performance reviews. Automated syncs would eliminate this whole manual step and reduce the risk of data mistakes. On top of that, the AI analysis engine sometimes struggles to interpret our manufacturing jargon. Our suppliers and shop workers often use shorthand for resin grades, mold codes, batch specs and material handling terms. Occasionally the AI misclassifies these comments and groups unrelated feedback together. On our recent delivery delay survey, a few suppliers mentioned resin lot variance and mold stock issues. The AI incorrectly grouped those comments under delivery timing problems, even though they were reporting material quality concerns. I had to go back and read each original response one by one to correct those themes before sharing findings with our production supervisor. These are not dealbreakers for our core survey work, and Validata still saves us a huge amount of time overall. Still, native integrations and improved understanding of manufacturing terminology would make the platform fit our production workflow far more smoothly and cut down our required manual cross-checking work.
