What do you like best about V-Ray?

The stellar usability and Vantage integration are what I like best about V-Ray. The ease of implementation is critical for my role as a Product Manager as I have to use it daily in 3ds Max for most of my render projects. The combination of defaults and predictable materials with the Chaos Vantage makes it a perfect choice for real-time scene exploration as well as our rendering projects. What do you dislike about V-Ray?

It's quite expensive for Solo or Premium subscription before VAT. The monthly Solo is around $50 which is fine but the yearly subscription rounds up to quite a huge number. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is V-Ray solving and how is that benefiting you?

V-Ray solves the challenge of creating photorealistic, fast and consistent renders for most of our projects. Whether I'm doing sun-soaked exteriors or moody concepts, the physically-based lighting and rock-solid GI allow me to produce shots with full automation. Tools like LightMix and Scatter, paired with Vantage, help me get the approvals on my projects from the clients even quicker.
