## Unsplash Reviews
  ### 1. Fantastic Free Images with Great Quality, Selection, and an Easy-to-Use Site

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew W. | Sales Administration Support, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Fantastic site for getting free images. Good quality and selection and it's cool to see independent photographers taking multiple photos using the same group for business or activities. I like that I don't have to pay for pictures every time I want to make a blog post or add an image to some marketing material. It also helps me to download to have a lot of pirctures in a certain category. Site is easy to use and very straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

In some of my searches I see that there is not a ton of stuff that is the exact image that I want. A lot of the pictures that I really want to use are the paid ones, but if I do enough searches and change my search terms I can usually find one that will suit my needs.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving money on images for marketing, web design, brochures etc. Making it easy to search specific terms and then download images without having to pay every time or order by bulk.

  ### 2. Unsplash: Free, High-Quality Images That Spark Creativity and Community

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muzammil M. | Founder – Muzammil Graphic | Interior and Graphic Designer | Transforming Spaces and Brands Visually , Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

What I like best about Unsplash is the way it has truly democratized creativity and visual storytelling. I joined Unsplash back in 2021, and at that time, it wasn’t just a photo sharing platform it was a movement. There was a real craze around Unsplash, especially among designers, creators, developers, marketers, and even small business owners who needed high quality visuals without worrying about licensing or cost.

One of the biggest things I love about Unsplash is the freedom it offers. The platform provides high resolution, professional quality images that are completely free to use. For someone like me, who works with digital content, design, 3D visuals, and creative projects, this was a game changer. Back in 2021, finding good images usually meant paid stock websites, watermarks, or complicated usage rights. Unsplash removed all that friction and made creativity accessible to everyone. Another thing that really stands out is the community driven nature of Unsplash. It never felt like a typical stock photo website. It felt more like a global creative community where photographer from all over the world shared real, authentic moments. The photos didn’t look staged or artificial they felt natural, human, and story-driven. This authenticity made Unsplash images perfect for websites, social media, presentations, and branding.

I also appreciate how Unsplash gave recognition and exposure to photographers. For many creators, Unsplash became a launchpad. Photographers could showcase their work to a global audience, build their personal brand, and even get professional opportunities through their visibility on the platform. As a user, it felt good knowing that behind every image there was a real creator being credited and appreciated. The search and discovery experience is another major plus. The way Unsplash categorizes images, shows related visuals, and recommends content makes it very easy to find exactly what you’re looking for or even discover something better than what you had in mind. In 2021 especially, this smooth user experience made Unsplash stand out compared to other platforms.

Lastly, what I like best about Unsplash is its impact. It inspired creativity. It encouraged people to experiment, design, and build without limitations. For me, Unsplash was not just a resource it was a source of inspiration. Even today, when I think about platforms that truly changed the creative ecosystem, Unsplash is definitely one of them. In short, Unsplash represents freedom, creativity, community, and inspiration and that’s why it continues to hold a special place for me since I joined in 2021.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

What I dislike about Unsplash at the moment is that, despite being such a powerful and influential creative platform, it hasn’t fully evolved with the latest Ai driven features, especially for contributors. Considering how fast the creative ecosystem is moving today, AI support could have made the contributor experience much more efficient and rewarding.

One major drawback is the lack of easy Ai -assisted tools for contributors. For example, features like Ai-based image tagging, smart keyword suggestions, auto generated descriptions, or quality improvement suggestions would save a lot of time. Currently, contributors have to manually manage many of these things, which can be time consuming especially for creators who upload content regularly. If Unsplash introduced AI tools to simplify uploads and optimize discoverability, it would greatly benefit the community. Another issue is that the contributor workflow could be much smoother. Compared to modern creator platforms, Unsplash still feels a bit rigid. AI-powered insights such as which type of images are trending, what users are searching for, or how to improve reach are missing. These features would help contributors align their work better with demand and grow more effectively on the platform.

I also feel that Unsplash could do a better job of supporting contributors in monetization or recognition, using AI analytics. Even basic AI dashboards showing performance predictions, audience engagement, or content recommendations would add huge value. Right now, contributors mostly rely on limited stats, which don’t provide actionable insights. Lastly, as Ai-generated content becomes more common, Unsplash needs clearer and smarter AI content policies and tools. Contributors should have transparent guidance and AI-assisted checks to ensure compliance, originality, and quality. In short, while Unsplash remains an amazing platform, the lack of advanced AI features and a more contributor-friendly, intelligent workflow is something I genuinely dislike. With the right AI enhancements, Unsplash could once again set the benchmark for creative platforms.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unsplash is solving some of the most important problems faced by graphic designers and web designers, and these solutions have directly benefited me in my day to day design work. As a designer, the biggest challenge is always finding high quality visuals that are affordable, legally safe, and easy to use, especially when working on multiple client projects with tight deadlines. The first major problem Unsplash solves is access to professional quality images at very low or no cost. In graphic design and web design, visuals are not optional they are essential. Earlier, designers had to depend on expensive stock platforms or compromise on image quality. Unsplash completely changed this by offering high resolution images that can be used freely. Even today, when Unsplash offers paid plans, the pricing is still very low compared to other stock image platforms, making it one of the best value solutions in the market. This helps me manage project budgets better without sacrificing design quality. Another big problem Unsplash solves is the lack of authentic, modern visuals. Most traditional stock platforms are full of staged and repetitive images that feel outdated. Unsplash provides real, natural, and modern photography that fits perfectly with today’s web design trends and branding needs. Whether I am designing a landing page, SaaS website, e-commerce banner, or social media creatives, Unsplash images help my designs feel more human and trustworthy. From a graphic design perspective, Unsplash saves a lot of time. Instead of spending hours searching across multiple websites, Unsplash’s clean interface, smart search, and curated collections make it very easy to find the right image quickly. This improves my workflow efficiency and allows me to focus more on layout, typography, color balance, and overall creativity rather than wasting time on asset hunting.

For web design, Unsplash plays a huge role in improving user experience (UX) and visual impact. High quality images are perfect for hero sections, background images, blog thumbnails, and feature sections. These visuals instantly enhance the look and feel of a website, increase engagement, and help communicate brand messages more effectively. This directly leads to better results for my clients and stronger portfolio work for me. Another important problem Unsplash solves is budget limitations for startups and small businesses. Many of my clients cannot afford costly subscriptions from platforms like Shutterstock or Adobe Stock. Unsplash becomes the best alternative because even its paid plans are very reasonably priced, offering excellent value for money. Compared to other platforms, Unsplash delivers premium quality visuals at a fraction of the cost, which makes it a smart and practical choice for designers.Unsplash also helps with design inspiration. Browsing through images often sparks new ideas related to color palettes, compositions, and visual styles. This inspiration helps me experiment more confidently in both graphic and web design projects. Overall, Unsplash is solving problems related to cost, accessibility, authenticity, time efficiency, and scalability. Its affordable pricing plans, especially when compared to other platforms, make it one of the best resources for designers today. For me, Unsplash is not just an image library it’s a reliable design partner that supports creativity, productivity, and professional growth.

  ### 6. Hands Down, The Best FREE Stock images platform!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayush S. | Product Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

I am a Product Designer, and I need free stock images to put in my designs, Unsplash just helps you do that with ease. One of the best part is that they have plugins for Figma, they have for WordPress and Chrome too, but I use it on Figma, on a daily basis, multiple times a day. The interface is clean and minimal which is great. The ease of implementation is amazing, You can directly add the picture to any element by just selecting an element and then clicking on the chosen image in the plugin and it just adds it pixel perfectly,

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

A little bit more format options for images while working would be great.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier I used to download an image and then paste it into Figma and then manually adjust it to the element. Now I can just open the Unsplash plugin, Select an image and Unsplash just adds it to the element automatically, which saves so much amount of time over any work session, which is just great.

  ### 7. Best platform to get good quality free stock images

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meghna D. | Senior Content Writer & Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

I am a Journalist/Content Writer. So I need a lot of feature images and stock photos that I can use in my articles and blogs.I can just go quickly over the Chrome extension of Unsplash and get whatever image is required. Unsplash can be connected with a lot of platforms, I use it daily on Chrome with their extension which is super easy to use and saves me a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

If they can add search functionality directly on the extension and not on their website, that will further save more time for the users.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I write content on various topics. And I need images to go with them to make the content attractive and readable. WIth Unsplash and it's extension I can get stock images that meet all my requirements within seconds, saving my time for my writing work.

  ### 8. Unsplash makes the image searching and downloading process much easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shivam K. | Social Media Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Unsplash is a cloud-based website that has a massive collection of more than two million stock images that helped us select whatever we needed and it covered it also a wide range of digital topics, so we found the perfect visual for our company needs and day-to-day projects. They really have quality content from the best photographers all over the world.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

Even though we try to maintain efforts for higher quality standards but there are some of the distributors in the platform who use lower-quality and overused images and upload them on the website which makes the experience even worse for users like us. Therefore we shifted from using Unsplash to pexels and freepiks to get perfect images according to our needs.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They have a significant range of quality content which helps small companies like us to get photographs from premium photographers all over the world and make a better digital community that to free of cost. It is really a good option to try this platform if you have any digital requirements for your company.

  ### 9. Unsplash helps to get better images and royalty free digital content

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suraj M. | Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Unsplash is a unique and copyright and royalty-free platform that helped me in collecting the best images for multi-purpose digital projects that too free of cost. The vast range of stock images that it provides helped us in creating professional posters and that fulfilled all of our digital marketing needs which we run through online ads and paid promotions.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

There is not much that I disliked about Unsplash however if they could provide some free HD video content with audios on their platform for using them as we use there images then that would have been much better. However unsplash is good with premium image content currently.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem that we faced before was in collecting the best and relevant photos for our digital content and now this is possible on my device and I can search anytime and anywhere on the search bar for images and get desired results all this has become possible due their flexibility and compatibility with mobile devices which was a huge task before

  ### 10. Free image available for commercial use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pratush R. | Designing Head, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

The best feature that I liked about Unsplash is that It provides an API feature to its premium customers so that we can integrate its digital content to various platforms and applications and this helps us to expand uts usbility and get more work for collaborations projects.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

Even though the platform tries to provide royalty-free images but sometimes the images are claimed under the use of copyright material which makes the experience worse. Rest I had a pleasant experience with this platform.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We create a lot of posters for hoardings which need to be developed in high definition and this has only become possible due to unsplash good resolution photos in their library which makes it easy for us to print as much as possible.
